Set in the fictional land of Aseudal during ancient times.
Eun-Sum (Song Joong-Ki) was born with a fate to bring disaster to Aseudal. Due to his mother's struggles to save him, he goes through hardships and grows up. He appears again in Aseudal.
Ta-Gon (Jang Dong-Gun) is a war hero of Aseudal. He has paved the way for Aseudal to become a prosperous city nation and he is the most powerful person in Aseudal. He dreams of becoming the first king of Aseudal.
Tan-Ya (Kim Ji-Won) was born with the same fate as Eun-Sum. She is the successor of the Wahan Tribe. Going through hardships, she realized her mission. She lives under the highest honor and her ambition is to become a politician. .

Sinopsis
Diatur di tanah fiksi Aseudal selama zaman kuno. Eun-Sum yang diperankan oleh Song Joong-Ki lahir dengan nasib untuk membawa bencana ke Aseudal. Karena perjuangan ibunya untuk menyelamatkannya, ia mengalami kesulitan dan tumbuh besar. Dia muncul lagi di Aseudal. Ta-Gon yang diperankan Jang Dong-Gun adalah pahlawan perang Aseudal. Dia telah membuka jalan bagi Aseudal untuk menjadi negara kota yang makmur dan dia adalah orang yang paling berkuasa di Aseudal. Dia bermimpi menjadi raja pertama Aseudal.
