I took it for granted that everybody understood that Michael Jackson's "Shamone" was his personal way to pronounce "Come on". On the other hand, I never understood he was singing "Annie are you Ok?". Always got it to "Annie are you walking"😅 Michael had his own ways to pronounce things, however, I think the thing that matters most is that it sounds kickass when sung and Michael surely was the king of writing catchy vocal hooks 😎

Most of those un-translateable lyrics are what is called scat. It was a common thing in early blues and jazz, and found its way into rock. Random syllables to fill vocal time in a song. The irony is that "scat" is also the word for wild animal dung found in the wild. Do with that what you will.

You could do Michael's voice for animated features, sounds so real.

John was so sick of people analyzing his songs and so he wrote this as a response. As for Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, the phrase comes from something that Paul had heard from someone that he had met in London. And yes, it does translate to "life goes on".
