When I found out he was getting his own movie I was annoyed because of how they made him in joss Whedon’s version of justice league. Now he’s a total goat and I’m excited for his own movie.
@@jovere3015 They want to make Flash movie so they could remove Snyder Verse and introduce new Batman and Superman removing Henry Cavil and Ben Affleck version
I love how this shows us how Flash knows he's a danger to his surroundings, which is why he takes such care in his movements. The way simply slowing down tore apart a road, a simple poke shattered an entire window, and of course how he had to move Iris slowly and gently to avoid hurting her. Amazing scene work and gives us insight as to how he is required to restrain and operate himself
Ive never thought of that , for a speedster everything they do in speed(slow for them) has very big inertia and momentum and force ,so they had to be very gentle on everything
But it doesn’t make sense in the dc universe because the speed force is supposed to protect him and his surroundings. So stuff like how his shoes ripping apart and the ground breaking shouldn’t have happened cuz the speed force stops that from happening
I just realised the miniscule choice of him being late is a reference to the fact barry makes himself late to everything to avoid people knowing he's the flash which ironically should make him more suspicious
@@BigeuleLP Its like The Superman thing , why would the most powerful man in the world pretend to be a clumsy idiot? For Flash? The Fastest man in the world... is always late.
Look at how delicately he is moving at 02:36 , he isn't acting like a cool powerful cliche hero that is flawless. He know how powerful he is, and how easily he can hurt his surounding. Every part of his movement are made with precaution and fear, that's why he is so cool !
Superman does the same thing. He’s constantly drawing back his power and pulls his punches. He has so much power he never uses it all and cuts loose because he could destroy whole cities otherwise.
The beautiful thing about the scene is that, in this movie we actually see barry like a very impatience person because of his speed, but when he saw iris in the car crash after the first look each other, he actually takes the "time" to hold her in his arms and keep her away from getting hurt. I mean, i know he has a responsability about saving people but this is scene is all about feelings. Zack is awesome.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Justice Is Gray, a superhero movie with a 4 hour run time, shown in 4:3 aspect ratio, and in black white. You’re telling me that doesn’t sound pretentious? Or to quote Jay and Rich from Red Letter Media: Jay: Apparently, he wanted this movie to be in black and white. Rich: Now that is pretentious and over the top. Jay: Yeah, that’s Zack Snyder silliness. Seriously, this scene was hilariously bad in black and white. 😂
well yeah its implied that every speedster can manipulate force and gravity because if they couldnt they would just liquify everybody in their vicinity, so if anything barry would have quickly got her out of the way if he didnt like her, but he wanted to look at her
@@l0sts0ul89 if speedsters are able to do the things they do, like throw people and JUMP then they would need to be able to control gravity for it to work, as well as many other side abilities
This was the scene that made me a believer in Zack’s cut of the film. What a gorgeous scene. I wish we could of seen something like this in the Flash CW verse. One of the few times I felt the film verse was more advance than the television one. What a breath-taking scene. The music, the cinematography, the framing, the effects. Just all of it, superb.
Okay I’m not gonna lie I haven’t really been open to idea of another barry Allen but I think I’ll grow to like him in the flash movie because this scene was FANTASTIC
i mean the barry allen from the show is really bad and not only that the whole show it’s so cheesy and the first time i saw this flash i wasn’t sure what to think of it because he didn’t really do much when he first came out but in this movie he was something else in my opinion and i love it especially here in this scene it’s so beautiful
The song works so beautifully with this scene, it’s angelic but not overdone, and works well even with the funny moment of Barry hiding away the hotdog. It’s lighthearted yet still feels epic, few scenes are both in such a way.
@@tonio-yo2612 yeah i think one of the reasons this scene was executed this way is because we all know the epic love story that is Barry and Iris (even non comic book fans because of the TV show) and this is their first encounter, Snyder knew what he was doing.
A great way to introduce a superhero for the first time. Maybe Joss Whedon just thaught it would be enough to introduce the Flash with the scene, in which Bruce Wayne throws the batterang at him, but it's so much better that way. Because the best part really is how, the girl he saves and the dog lady both know who he really is, without saying a word.
The dog lady doesn't know, she was looking down! And Don't forget this all happened in like 2-5secs tops, so she definitely didnt see him. I believe Iris is the only one who seen him
@@nmg1541 Yes those are loads of points that the dog lady most likely didn't even pay attention to. You can see her looking at the position Barry was originally at 4:24 , she probably made an assumption that Barry got frightened and jumped into the dog pin. She didn't think oh broken glass, tathered shoes and a quick dissapearance act to the dog pin, nope if she was to actually put some thought into why the glass broke, she probably would've thought some debree came from the vehicle, also you can see she didn't even look at the shoe pieces, even if she did she wouldn't even think much of it, and a simple accident can cause emotions to change which then results in clouded reasoning. But besides all of that you can just instead put that to the aside and try to imagine her point of view, which is she saw a car accident, glass door breaking, and a lady sitting on the road. Don't think her conclusion would be "Welp I think this new guy has abilities." But what's funny is that everything I've said already came across everybody's mind if they actually did consider that the lady saw Barry, but after a second of thinking they would realize "what nah, no chance." So technically I wasted my time and now probably considering jumping off a bridge, but only one that is a few feet off the ground of course.
@@nmg1541 You know what's crazy,I'll tell you! It's the human brain. At the speeds Barry was going, no one could see him, all but Iris who he allowed to be able to see him. Sure the glass was shattered, but a number of things could of caused it(seeing as she was looking down it could've been debris or an angry client. Him being in the play pen doesn't mean anything, we could see she was already visibly annoyed with him while talking to him watch caused her to tune him out while looking over his resume(looking down) when the brain is preoccupied with something it tends to forget everything else. Not to mention its a dog shop! Tge type of energy he was giving off showed he liked animals so why wouldn't he go play with the dogs?! If you want the job play the role, and having treats while the dogs are jumping all over you playfully sure shows that he really wants it. So in her mind he's just a dog lover who so happened to be present during a car accident. Or like the other guy said her adrenaline could've been pumping like crazy when she suddenly heard a car accident and glass strew all over the place. Can't really example the shoes thing though 😂 however your first thought isn't going to be "HOLY SHIT! YOU MUST'VE RAN AT LIGHT SPEED THROUGH MY GLASS DOOR TO SAVE THAT GIRL, BUT IN DOING SO YOUR SHOES SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST DUE TO THE SHEER FORCE OF YOUR MOVEMENT WHILE ALSO GRABBING A HOTDOG AND JUMPING INTO THE PLAY PEN WITH THE DOGS ALL WHILE I WASNT LOOKING IN 5SECS FLAT!!!" She would go into pure panic mode after hearing all those horrific sounds. The only way they'd every find out what he did is if he told them or the surrounding area had cameras. Sorry if this is long
@@toxicmelody6228 Nah, the only reason Iris saw him was because Barry unknowingly left superspeed NERD STUFF INCOMING. If Barry was able to bend the glass, and run faster than it could crack, Barry was running at roughly Mach 4.5 (4.5 times the speed of sound) since glass cracks at 1,500 meters per second, while the speed of sound is 343 meters per second. So that scene likely took under a second
@@nandoman4769 chill dude. It's just an adaptation of the character. He's still doing flash things like being a hero and -don't read if you haven't seen- pressing reset
I love this movie. This scene and Cyborg's backstory + explanations of his powers are my favorites just bc they feel like short films in their own right if that makes sense. This scene feels like a short superhero love story while Cyborg's feels like a tragedy. They both give great insight to who these people are and how powerful they can be.
The Flash is my favorite Superhero, Zack Snyder really did him justice in this re-edited cut film. The Flash in the comics is very creative with his Speed Powers, doing things like spinning his arms making lethal Whirlwinds, doing his Infinite Mass Punch, running around in enemy in a circle to take out their oxygen, and ect... All Joss Whedon did with the character in his cut was just have him run fast and some crap about him only pushing people.
OMG I just noticed. Moments after Barry rescues Iris and disappears, she looks over to the pet store thinking maybe he's there, and he probably suspecting it...is sitting on purpose surrounded by the dogs while feeding them with the sausage so they camouflage him, and Iris doesn't go there right away searching for him. Man, THOSE ARE details.
I cant believe someone wrote an article making Barry out to be some stalker weirdo in this scene. They must be ALL of the thumbs down. This was a great scene
why some people still think Ezra is not at the height to the character?? obviously everybody have their own opinions but i mean, you cannot say is trash. Its a really good interpretation of Barry Allen for me.
Keeping in mind the reason most people didn't like this version of the Flash is based off of his appearance in the original Justice League, when he fell over in literally every fight and looked to be another example of DC's pretty obvious attempts to copy Marvel's already winning formula without putting in the work. This version is better because the context surrounding him - i.e. the rest of the movie - is better.
This scene is not weird at all, I think it’s absolutely beautiful!!! She didn’t see him coz he’s the flash but he stood in her eyesight view-that’s how it seemed she was looking at him!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!
If you seen the movie “Dope”, and watch this scene ... you’ll see that Rick Famuyiwa was the perfect director for a Flash movie ... sucks that WB ran such another talented director away. 🤦♂️ now were stuck with a fake flashpoint that’s stuffing a bunch of stuff into and calling it a “multiverse” cause WB have no idea of what to do. #restorethesnyderverse
I think Rick Famuyiwa would be better for a cyborg or martian manhunter movie. I think Andy Mushetti can do a good flash movie since he did the pretty good IT movies.
Also Ezra Miller said that he wants the Flash movie to be serious, not some light-hearted film with cheesy jokes. Makes sense, especially if it is going to be roughly based off of Flashpoint
They want more Marvel tone in DC which is a major mistake. Flash being the only comic relief is good enough. Not the whole damn team cracking jokes while a demon is tryna destroy the whole planet.
I wish WB would just let DC do what they wanted, we would’ve gotten the 2nd JL movie, The Batman movie, and probably one other DC movie by now (besides the ones we got) if WB wasn’t trying to change shit last minute. It’s why nobody really wants to work with them. The animated universe for DC is better than the live action cause it doesn’t seem as if WB interferes with it. Let marvel be marvel, DC needs to stick to its roots and do what it does best.
This was actually amazing and how they showed how careful he had to be with her in order to not hurt her cause of the speed in which she would not be able to handle was great! I loved this so much.
What about the Cyborg scenes? They had heart too. And Flash saving the world at the end. And Superman taking flight and saving Cyborg. And when Steppenwolf is defeated. The stare down with Darkseid. Batman taking on an army of parademons. Silas dying. There were plenty of amazing scenes.
I feel so so sorry for all the DC fans and Comic fans who weren't here with us to witness this beautiful masterpiece.. Both the movie and this song and also other beautiful sound tracks in Snyder Cut. Rest in peace you all 😢❤️💔💔💔 I may not know you personally or your names, but you'll be remembered forever ❤️
the one thing i like about this scene is how careful he is with her, where as quicksilver as cool as his scenes are he kinda just throws people around while in super speed which would literally kill people. Yet here he places her down so carefully knowing one wrong move would fatally injure her. My only one complaint is, why isnt she pulling a worried face... she just looks like a doll other than that 9/10
Just saw this film and wow did not expect this song. I love the original 1960s version by Tim Buckley. What a legend to have people still covering his heart touching song. Such a tragic family with him and his son Jeff Buckley being such beautiful eloquent musicians, yet dieing so young.
I just Imagine the Amount of theoretical physics thinking that went into making this very scene. I just Love his care and how He knows his powers even though he is learning.
I've always watched the show as a kid & this just makes me so happy to see Barry not just used as comical relief like the Whedon version. Flash can be that ace in the hole the team needs
its so cool how it slows down certain parts where he is noticing something, cause his brain moves so fast and so much info at once, that when something he needs to pay attention to/ wants to
I also love that even though he can perceive the fact that she saw him use his powers, and was so taken away by her that he forgot he jsut revealed himself
Only problem I have with this scene is that the truck driver is eating a "Burger Shop" burger and not a "BIG Belly Burger" burger. BIG Belly Burgers and the Flash go hand in hand. It's not just a CW thing, it's from the comics.
I really love the bit with the hotdog. I just thought it was a funny bit they threw in there to say “heehee flash get snack”, but it actually shows the genius of Barry Allen. Even with all of that going on, he was able to process and plan exactly what was going to happen after he saved her, and how he would explain it to the lady he was just standing in front of. Brilliant
Yep, saw the trailer when I was 10 in front of Freddy Vs Jason. Whole theater was cheering when the chainsaw sound erupted. Great crowd for that type of trailer
That is cool and beautiful. He's being very cordial and careful not to break her from G force, cause we apes evolved. And we understand the physics of this world.
Snyder was a genius for making this scene because it shows Barry as more than just a hyperactive, fanboying, freakishly fast guy with a strong need for people to relate to and a wrongly imprisoned father. Here he is seen as awkward, but in an adorable and comedic way, and instinctively kind and not a wuss like he is in the 2017, version, but a self-confident person.
I remember reading an article full on trashing this scene saying how Barry was a creep caressing Iris' hair and how it should have been cut. I just thought it was a dope scene all around.
Psychologically this Barry has ADHD, insecurity, worry and anxiety because of the situation of his father and death of his mother. And then you see the arc of him being from too insecure to a badass at the end.
people say this scene is creepy, to me it's not. he's admiring her beauty plus both of them has a crush on each other. and he didn't even touch her inappropriately. and the music was.. 😭❤️
