when september ends, i’m singing the first song to my family members that havent been being careful. 🎶”ba de ya, so much for september, ba de ya, maybe in december, ba de ya, maybe it’ll go away” 🎶 i live in colorado and in early march when covid was big in washington but not in any other states, i still went out for my birthday to go bowling with my family but with every bowling ball i used i wiped the finger holes with sanitary wipes and my family made fun of me and then quarantine started in colorado 1 or 2 weeks later.

I remember, that was back in March. In NJ the closures got extended first indefinitely, then to May 15, then to June 30.

In Ohio we got told on March 12, last day was Friday March 13, then we were supposed to go back April 13 in our district. Then it got extended to May 1 and then we weren’t allowed in schools until June 30th. Then sports started back partly

I just asked my kid's principal.. he said the school might probably open in Jan.. as in 2021.. btw we don't live on the US, so yeah..

Yep we had to close in a rush, no spring cleaning of classroom. Now we go back to do inservice from classrooms but on line. Starting on line and preparing for alleged return mask to mask in September. Wondering if it is worth the time to rearrange my classroom.

Well, in most places the actual mandatory quarantine itself was over in 2 to 3 months at the most (and then again some places never had one) but then again some places have had other shutdowns/lockdowns since then. Also, some folks have practiced voluntary stay-at-home or safer-at-home numerous times.

@@krisushi1 we have pulled up the drawbridge at the moment. But hopefully we'll be able to travel both ways sometime in the next year. But we did have a lovely time in the Dandenongs in January. Lovely memories of our first few years in Australia living just under the Dandenongs, where our kids were born

@@theyeti1256 Its beautiful there isn't it? My parents moved to Healesville after I escaped to the beauty of the North East from Melbourne. Did you see that it was snowing in Olinda yesterday? The Dandenongs are so beautiful, I would always take visitors there, especially from overseas. Now, I'm just living at the base of even bigger mountains. We all have a big cold stretch ahead for close to the next week. Wodonga is going to be -4°celsius tonight which is the same as the summit of Mt. Buller! Shouldn't your username be The Yowie? Covid is just another virus like the flu. It’s getting annoying as hell that people are treating this like it’s the damn bubonic plague and acting so afraid of this. This virus is nowhere near as deadly as other diseases are. So what if cases are going up. Unless the death rate was extremely high from the beginning(which it never was) we have nothing to fear. The death rate is very small and actually dropping. It’s the flu powered to the max. Duh, cases are going up. When forcing people to stay home and not go out there won’t be many cases. But when you open up again you are exposed to each other and duh, cases will go up. Stop being afraid everyone. We face death everyday of our lives plus our bodies learn to adapt when it comes to viruses. Time to just get back to normal, get exposed and develop herd immunity faster. It would be stupid and pointless to shut down again. Once again, it’s just another virus amongst all our other viruses that we face and will continue to face as human beings. Enough is enough already.

@@sarahprince2412 No it's not like every other virus. It is devastating even for "mild" cases. The long term effects are just beginning to be understood. The virus is already mutating, making herd immunity difficult. RN with personal experience.

@@billwilson1320 I'm all about this herd immunity! Let's see all the naysayers go into a room filled with Covid positive patients and contract the virus first-hand. They can just update everyone on their fake symptoms and recovery! They will be fine because all the stats they quote daily say so!

@@sarahprince2412 Based on international numbers such an approach will kill at least 2,500 New Zealanders and you can forget about elective surgery which will cause more deaths. The obesity rates in Maori and Pacific Islanders mean they will be hit much harder. Strangely enough such conditions are likely to cause more mental illness and doesn't exactly bode well for consumer confidence, in Norway businesses are going broke too.
