Is anyone else in like… a deep state of mourning over this movie? Though I can go back and watch the movie at any time, I still feel like it’s gone. It was only here for that one day on June 18th, and now all the excitement leading up to that day is gone and it’s just… empty. I miss Luca and I miss Alberto and I miss Giulia and it’s honestly kind of too much. But that’s how you know when a movie is good when it has such an affect on you.

I'm Italian and when I heard the music references in Luca, my mom from the other room almost screamed the lyrics of most of the songs. It was the first time she watched a whole animated movie with me. This movie really has something magical :3

I'm 40 years old, Born In Southern California, at age 14 My Father moved us to Sicily in a small town right on the beach, I lived there for 15 years, I have to say, I feel blessed and always hold love and honor for Sicily. Disney totally nailed it with every aspect of a small town out there. Bedda Sicilia!

Finally the Italian music of the 50s / 60s / 70s is appreciated by the whole world. Because they deserve a lot, I wasn't born in these times, but my parents were, and they made me love it. And I'm happy that now many more non-Italian people have discovered them .. Grazie Luca

Ahhhh this playlist makes me wanna go hangout with my friends, go swimming and do cannonballs in a lake, eat some watermelon and popsicles then ride our bikes as the sun's going down (u know the kinda stuff that makes u feel like ur in a movie or whateva 😗👉👈)

I hope we get shorts based on this movie, oh and also a sequel. Also I hope they don’t make us wait over a decade for a sequel like with The Incredibles.

I'm 22 and this is my favorite cartoon movie OMG I hope I'm not too old for this.

Reading off the creator's interviews and behind the scenes, one can see just how much love , passion, and heart was put into this film. The fact that Luca is largely based on Mr. Casarosa's own childhood experiences really gave this film its own lovely charm. This isnt just some corporate cashgrab, this movie is literally a love letter. To Italy, To the real Alberto, To Childhood friendships ❤❤❤

I wish we could have discovered this film in theater. The aesthetic, the visuals are so beautiful that in this dark room and the gigantic screen.. damn it must be something!

I feel dumb, one of the reasons I love the movie this much is because of the song Il gatto e la volpe ahahah 🦊 I remember my dad singing it when I was little and we were on summer vacation, spending all the days swimming and imagining to be a sea creature in disguise. And reading the Almanacco di Topolino when it was to hot to go out.

Have you ever felt that you've been waiting for this movie for months and finally watched it on June 18. Once it ended you felt like it's gone and you still wish to continue it. Just to make myself clear, I adore this movie especially the song. Simple yet amazing at the same time. Seeing Luca and Alberto's ambiguous fate (Like the epilogue at the end credit arts) I really wanted a sequel ngl, it's like I want them to continue the story. This is the first time I'd ask myself "Why am I so concerned to this movie?" - Is it because it's simple? - Is it because the story is original and it compared to our youthful days? - Or is it because it's Italian? I clearly don't know. I mean I can rewatch the movie at anytime and anywhere, and yes it always brings me hope whenever I start the film. From the moment I finished the movie, it's to the point where I'm happy and downcast at the same time. All in all this movie is one of my favourite Pixar film ever 🇮🇹💙

This sound track is exactly what I would have expected for a Disney movie focused on Italian culture and I love it. This movie was especially meaningful because my family watched it together after a long day of vacation activities on a warm summer day in 2021. Every time my 3 year old daughter watches this movie I think about that time and look back with fond memories, despite what was going on in the world at the time. Good memories.

You knew the song is truly great when you don't even understand the lyrics but still keep listening to them over and over again.

My family tried our best to learn some Italian before Valentines day when we took a virtual toor of Italy. Its a beautiful language and I’ve always wanted to visit the country, but this movie made me extra sad that I can’t go yet :((((( i absolutely loved this film

Hearing Il gatto e la volpe in the movie, as an italian, made me so happy and nostalgic. I used to listen to that song with a friend of mine in elementary school using a CD player, during the coach rides for school visits/trips.

Awake at 12 AM and listening to this playlist is such a relief after going through this day.

The last song (Cittá Vuota) is SO DAMN WELL PICKED. It has that chill Italian summery beat, but it's also very melancholic and nostalgic, like saying "I'm happy for what I've lived and I cherish those days... But I'm also kinda sad because they're gone" Perfect choice.

Luca is literally one of the most heart touching movies I've ever seen. I mean, it doesn't even have a sad ending but I still cried for over an hour after finishing it. I think it's mostly because I really did have an "Alberto" in my life and I haven't met her in years after we moved. And I miss her as hell

I love this movie so much and can't stop listening to this playlist. It also remind me of my old close friend that I lost about 7 years ago. He wasn't dead, he just said 2 guys hanging out with each other are gay and didn't play with me anymore. I dont care what anyone says. Luca is one of the most Pixar movies. A world inside of the world that doesn't take itself to seriously. Lighthearted and whimsical. Instant classic.

I am Italian (I live in Lombardy, 1 hour by train from Genova) and this great song by Edoardo Bennato was an Italian music hit in the late 70s. The title 'Il gatto e la volpe' means 'The cat and the fox' and refers to a duo of unreliable men who try to fool an corrupt a young musician, asking him to sign a contract in which he gives up on the copyright of his songs. The cat and the fox are the two kids who corrupt Pinocchio, as well.

Luca was honestly such a refreshing movie. Never felt like there were any motives or agendas behind it. Just felt like a movie made with love, personality and thought behind it. I wish there were more movies like it nowadays.
