In January Final Fantasy will be 35 years old! I cannot wait to see what's in store.
My story with Final Fantasy goes back to 17 years ago. I was just a curious kid and the technology I knew were game boy colors in black and white or one color. But for my birthday I got my first PlayStation One and a new world opened up to me as I started playing FFIX. Later I got FFX for Christmas. I simply knew this franchise was the most beautiful and profound thing ever, speaking directly to my soul. Some of these songs are really old, (Eyes On Me was the first single for the series in 1998, composed by a Japanese musician, sang in English by a Chinese singer, and by the way it achieved really huge awards like song of the year and much more) and other are recent. Most of them have both the English and the Japanese version. I simply prefer the Japanese version because of it stays true to the emotions and the lyrics are much more poetic (Japanese is a language much more complex than English).
