Description: The following video is the second part of a two-part series, titled Songs of the Muskogee Creek, which includes ceremonial songs for the Green Corn Dance, aka "the Busk", found among the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, and a few sung in modified form by some grounds of the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, located in South Florida in the Everglades and around Lake Okeechobee. Some of these terms like "Muscogee / Seminole" encompass even more distinct cultures, such as the Yuchi / Euchee, the Hitchiti-Mikasuki, Freedmen & Maroon cultures of Black Indian peoples, and others. A few songs are shared between the other "five civilized tribes" of the State of Oklahoma, including the Cherokee and the Choctaw in addition to the aforementioned. The Chickasaw historically sang some of these "shared" songs, too, but their last independent ceremonial grounds became defunct in 1936; even here, though, at Kullihoma, a few songs and relevant dances included are sung and shared for educational purposes. The este-catvlke / yat-ketescare / hattak vpi homma / Aniyvwiyai are here, and will forever be here. Mvto / Wado / Sonabessa / Yakoke.

I really love that these recordings exist. I'm trained as an Opera singer, and my mother is a Bluegrass musician. I always enjoy and feel blessed to learn about the musical traditions of other cultures. I am forever impressed by the endless creativity of human beings. Thank you so much for sharing.

I just thought I’d try to be first. This 2 album set was made by Tony Isaacs through a label called “Indian House” in New Mexico. Taos I believe. These recordings were made in 1968 at RVRO (Fish Pond) close to Cromwell Oklahoma. The reason no fire is visible, is because these are vinyl record albums not videos. To the best of my knowledge no other recordings having to do with these specific songs were done by anyone else. Sole credit and recognition goes to Tony Isaacs and INDIAN HOUSE recordings.
