So glad I had the privilege of meeting Jason Molina a few years back in Leeds. A sweet and humble man who had no problem mingling with the fans for a few drinks and a chat after the gig. He will be truly missed, but his songs will ever remain in my heart...
I feel like he was with a malignant narcissist and she crushed his soul. There is this song love leaves it’s abuser he says I once had strength but I have been selfish to say the least I owned up to it though leaving is a curious way for you to love me. If you really look at and listen to all his lyrics, he professes his love so deep yet the woman, the person that he’s in love with always leaves or is hurting him. She’s the cause of all his pain and grief in every song he was tormented and abused mentally by this woman I believe, I could be wrong, but I don’t think I am, and I think it’s sad and his songs I feel like it’s just a journal that he left of his toxic abusive relationship with this woman.
