My best friend passed away from Covid-19 today. Yo-Yo is the calm in the storm.

Yo-Yo Ma is always so generous in sharing his music with us during dark days. His thoughtfulness and kindness elevate this piece still more. Thank you, Mr. Ma!

The very greatest artist of our time, not only because of his artistic technique and style, but, more importantly, also because of his noble soul! He even put soothing music with his heavenly playing as commercial advertisement in front of RU-vid videos and pay the ad fees by himself. This world is so much nicer in many ways with Mr. Ma.

When your soul is being soothed and you didn't realize you needed that.

Just when I thought humanity was finished. And then, Bach.

I heard Yo Yo Ma play the six cello suites at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside of Denver. It was August 1, 2018 and was the most magical experience my life. As soon as he started to play the crowd of 9,500 people hushed and did not make a sound for two hours and fifteen minutes (while Mr. Ma played without a break). At one point the wind got so loud that you could hear it through his microphone. You could see on the screen that he got a sparkle in his eye and he started playing WITH the wind, and with such a sense of humor! Overhead Mars was bright and red. As we left, a ain't ore moo was rising! I wish I knew how to get in touch with Yo Yo Ma because I wrote am about the experience I'd love to show him.
