The thing that sets them apart from the other new groups doing the Y2K/R&B thing is that with XG it doesn’t feel forced. Like this isn’t just the company saying, “hey this genre is in trend so do this” R&B/HipHop is in their core identity! They listen to it in the car and in their free time, just look at the artists they are naming. We’ve NEVER heard the other girlies mention those names. I feel a level of genuineness from them that I don’t get with the other groups and that’s no shade. These girls are gonna go far and they have my full support 🫶🏾

YALL DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IVE ALWAYS WISHED FOR A NEW R&B/HIP HOP BASED GIRL GROUP

The fact they named Aaliyah makes me appreciate them even more, if that was possible. And Lauryn Hill? These were artists I had on replay when I was in high school back in the late 90's early 00's (yes, I'm that old). So glad to see them begin to gain more recognition. I knew they were special from the beginning .

OMG when they started singing Scrubs by TLC and mentioned Aaliyah Lauren Hill, I got goosebumps and just went back in time, they really know about Soul,R&B,HipHop, Aaliyah was the Y2K style queen back in the day and when I see these perform they do remind me of the R&B of TLC,Blaque,SWV,En Vogue and the POP of Spice Girls,Britney and Christina, can’t wait for the album definitely will support them. XG all the way.

XG is the realest deal ever! This girls are just oozing with genuineness in every aspect. I haven't seen such a group who has this profound and broad knowledge about what they put themselves into. They are seriously THAT GROUP! And I'm here to support them until whenever!

This is MY gg. I listen to mostly 90s/00s hip & R&B which is what got me into BTS. I fell in love with their earlier music but, as I delved deeper, I fell in love with their overall artistry and many more things about them. I feel like I'm following a very similar path with XG. My Kings and Queens.

It's very interesting to see that they support R&B and hip-hop, which is one of the reasons they are so successful with the western world.

Great interview. Thoughtful questions. But mostly i liked that XG's answers didn't seem rehearsed. They weren't 'playing the tape'', they were actually answering the questions

XG isn't getting the hype that they deserve. They literally can do ANYTHING. These girls are amazing individually and even better as a group. I have been a stan of different groups throughout the years, but, I can definitely say that they are 1 of the most well rounded group. R&B and hiphop suits them and it feels like it's natural to them, like they really listen to the genre and really love it. I honestly do not have a bias because I love them all so much. p.s im hoping Juria and Chisa cover The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica, I think they would pop off with the vocals, riffs and runs. STAN XG!!!! You wont regret it.

I am not into KPop/ JPop at all but this is something that goes beyond. It's so clear that their core identity is based on RnB and hip hop, they delivered 110%. The quality of their originals and also the rap songs on old instrumentals is TOP NOTCH. So glad young female artists are smashing the world. Keep goin'!!

Oh god I hope and pray they stick with the R&B/Hip-hop as their core sound! It hits so different and feels so authentic for them as opposed to it feeling like a passing trend. They own it, shine in it, and it feels like they found their identity in that genre.

THEY HAVE TO BE BIG SOON! they're so underrated yet so talented. they don't need autotune, their acapella sounds really amazing

For their next releases, I wish they would get inspiration from the early to mid 80's funk, soul genre e.g. Teena Marie's "Square Biz," or DeBarge's "I Like It," or Shalamar's "Second Time Around," or Michael McDonald's "I keep forgettin.' " And for general pop, something along the lines of Madonna's "Holiday." Bring some of the 80's glory back ladies! I wish XG much success. This group is on an upward trajectory, like a "Shooting Star!"

My hunch was right, and if you like TLC you definitely would love Aaliyah. Aaliyah was the vibe I got from them aside from TLC. 90s hiphop RnB was my most favorite era with TLC and Aaliyah on the top of my list. Love them and love XG are representing RnB, Hiphop, Funk and Soul. XG is my no. 1 group! And we got some spoilers at the end, awesome. Look forward to their documentary and (mini) album 🔥💙🙌
