Marcelito has an amazing back story. He was homeless and on the streets of the Philippines from the age of 8 and was encouraged by his friends to go on Philippines Got Talent ... and he finally agreed, with the hopes of finding his long, lost family. He both won the contest and did find his lost family. He never had formal training. Anyway, of all untrained singers, I would say he is the best I know of. And of all the trained ones, of course, that is Dimash. :-)

Marcelito makes it easy because he can. He is a singing angel on earth. For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear sung, the bright madness. I can't really think of a second person who can do it better.

I agree with you, cristal clear is the right expression. He uses tremolo exactly where it is needed, the rest are pure sounds of great beauty. I personally find Dimash's voice too "acrobatic", impressive but not pure like Marcellito's voice.

He is self taught. Homeless in the Phillipines and started singing Celine Dion. Years later he realized he could sing in the tenor voice also. Two foreign languages too. I saw Italians react and they said his Italian is perfect and clearer than Andrea Bocelli.

Soul, welcome to the World of Marcelito. Speechless IS appropriate. Brilliant analysis. You are correct. Few people know that the gesture after the song was because the sound engineers were teasing him about the Celine voice - so he was removing it. He has a marvelous voice of his own and a charming stage presence in front of an audience. Find his rendition of Celine's "Power of Love'" It is wonderful. Pick ONLY the WISH Bus version. You will be amazed, again. Cheers.

He treats his voice like two guitar strings very well tuned. He has a high concentration. Just like in the circus art before the show. That's why this song sings much better than the original. It's voices acrobatics. Great bravo. Marcelito Pomoy - he raised the bar for all artists in the world. In my opinion - men have a lot nicer singing women's voice tones - they have a lot more strength in the throat. Marcelito had a very difficult life. But he always dreamed of singing. It gave him wings. If dreams come true, miracles begin.

Remember Soul, this is one man, singing in two voices, in two languages, while sitting down on a bus, with traffic driving past the window, and he did it in one take. The spitting out of the female at the end is his trademark ending whenever he sings a male/female duet... By the way, he's doing the Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli cover.

He is singing this in one take,sitting down on a moving bus (the famous Wish bus). He is also singing in two foreign languages - his native language is Tagalog. He is self-taught. There is a Philippine tradition of men singing in two parts, though surely few could do it as he does. You are right, he said he was spitting out Celine Dion.

I have watched so many reactors and you are one of the very few that got it right about spitting the female voice because that’s what he said in one of his interviews. He is a jolly and funny guy in person. He is a guy with a thousand voices. Next please React to his cover of Celine Dion’s Power of Love at the Wish Bus then to his performances at the America’s Got Talent The Champions (4). He is truly unbelievable unreal. Also please watch him at the Ellen de GENERES show to know more about his background. He doesn’t even speak English but he is learning now. He never had any vocal lessons nor training whatsoever he lived in the streets since he was 7yrs old up to his late teens doing odd jobs to survive. Thanks for reacting to him 🙏💕💕💕

Hi! You are the ONLY reactor who got the meaning of his action after singing. Yup, he tried to spit out the female counterpart. I recommend watching his journey in AGT The Champions where he did this for his first song. His second song was even harder, Con Te Partiro, but he nailed it. He is a complete package. Please listen and react to his renditions of Power of Love, Despacito, Endless Love, Perfect and She's Gone to see how versatile he is. He has a God-given voice which is soothing and uniquely resonant. He never had any formal voice lessons. He survived fully on his own - poor, uneducated and homeless - from age seven up to his early twenties. Despite his difficult life, he has matured into a humble person without any trace of bitterness and pain in him. He simply became adept by keenly listening and imitating different singers. He evolved and was able to further hone his special talent that led to his meteoric success. Thank you for the recognition and appreciation. He has since gone to school and is continually getting more educated, ventured in business and doing charity work with the love and support of his wife, daughter and adoring fans worldwide. Marcelito is famous for being able to imitate any singer, male or female, in any language. He has a fantastic range. What you just heard was a perfect cover of "The Prayer" duet by Celine Dion and opera singer, Andrea Bocelli.

I have listened to music and wonderful singers for way over 60 years . Of all the words that I have used to describe music's impact on one's sensibilities , there is one word never used by this writer . This guy is a bona fide MIRACLE .
