He just did an online concert and it’s unbelievable how good his vocals are. He came out with 3 new songs and he made a rock song with Kazakhstan instruments and rapping. He will redefine music and meld a new genre. His vocal was on point. Excellent. I believe he’s getting better.

Oh he is getting better and better which is astounding. He did his digital concert, encore performance is on the 31st of Jan. It was incredible with a few new songs that he has not yet released other than on the digital concert stage. One is stunningly beautiful and haunting, one is new and the lyrics were written by his dad and it is fantastic and one is new, hip and could easily hit todays market in America. Since he is now in the top 2 of the MTV Friday night MTV stream, I would wager we will see more and more English songs.

I don't do reactions, but I did use RU-vid to review seveal different performances of many of Dimash's songs. Songs like "Sinful Passion" he's performed at the Bazar you reacted to, but also at several of his concerts - the incredible voice 'waver' he sings to begin the high note portion near the end of the performance is hard to believe because the camera drifted off to his hand. Other performances show full face when he sings that wavering long note. It's incredible - so if you have any questions about a particular performance, look for another performance of the same song. Just a suggestion - running the cameras isn't carefully coordinated at all of his performances. None of this is true of his released videos, but the camera work is a crucial part of the production (normal with all released video's - other than recorded live performances). Thank you so much for all your reactions, I've saved them in a unique folder "soulreacts' and use your reactions to listen as reminders of his reviewed performances thank you again for all these wonderful reactions.!!

Yes, he is definitely getting better. His mixed voice has more resonance now. His lower register is more refined, deeper and smooth. And if you watched his online concert, he also gained new voice: the rock edgy growl voice in Golden and Be With Me.

The "crackles" in his lower register in this song are stylistic choices to use vocal fry, because it's a popular sound in Russian pop music, which is the intended market for this particular song. His newer music (mostly as heard in the recent online digital concert) utilizes his lower register a lot. It's much deeper, stronger, and more resonant than a year ago. He doesn't choose vocal fry technique often, spending most of the time in rounded classical tones on his lowest notes. When he uses vocal fry, it's very purposeful.

At Dimash’s online concert on 16th Jan his lower registers are absolutely epic now! He’s obviously been working on that during lockdown! He had some gorgeous new songs too!

I had a chance to see his online concert. I have to say his voice seems richer and fuller. Especially his low end, but even his high end seems to have a strength that seemed more than before. Which shocked me as I figured with his lower end deepening as is natural in male singers as they age. I figured he might have his upper range thin out a little. Instead, it feels like he has made improvements on both ends. However, I have a love for his low and mid-range more than the higher. So I am happy he is doing more songs that showcase it as he is maturing. While won't forgetting of course that which a lot want to hear those amazing heights. As always enjoy your reactions.

His voice is getting stronger and I think he will continue to improve provided he keeps up his practice routines. As you know and as he says ‘singing is a great sport’ , singers have muscles and as he gets stronger as a man physically all this supports his voice. He will always be an intelligent singer and as he gets more life experience under his belt he will use it to express his music. It’s inevitable. Both will assist in his growth as as artist . He also has the courage to dive off the deep end and fully immerse himself, without fear of failure apparently, although I suspect he is driven to new things by his adventurous nature. He is an exemplar in so many ways. Love him to bits. I hope you subscribed to his concert. Tickets are still on sale at Tixr.com for the 31Jan.

Listening, I hear a significant improvement in his lower register from 2017 till now. If you listen to some of his really early public performances, the steady change becomes more obvious. He's been singing SOS since ... (was it 2013 or 2015? I think 2013....) In the first performance he's struggling, in the next one, a year or two later, he's much more in control, then in that stunning 2017 performance for Singer it sounded like he had it all. BUT - now listen to the newest one, released this week by Sisters Cities International, and it's more silkily gorgeous than the earlier versions. Especially the lower notes - which are more resonant. He still works with a teacher, still practices 3 hours a day. Assuming we can call him a tenor, most men don't hit prime singing voices until late 20's-early 30's. For bass voices, it can be middle age before they peak. After that, most of the improvement is in control and experience, and it's hard to imagine what Dimash could do to make his control better than it already is....
