Fusion set I have been using them nonstop. I had to do some school shopping this month for the kiddos. So I’m hoping I can get the lotus set next month possibly 🥰
Thank you for the great comparison of the sets! I have some Fusion and Lotus Set. I love Lotus - usually undyed goat hair brushes don't give me pay off with the shadows (they seem not picking up pigment the same way as dyed hair) but the set's eye brushes have enough density and at the same time blending ability. The face brushes are great too. I recommended it as a first good brushes set to my friends. Have everything, just need powder brush. I'm really tempted to buy Keyaki set for the collectors purpose 😆
Thank you for the comment! I agree the Lotus set is beyond solid. Every brush is great. If I didn’t have the Fusion set, I would be using the base brush more. I think it’s an excellent starting set for those looking to really get into it.
The undyed brushes are really quite good with cream shadows and I know that is stating the obvious, but they perform as they’re supposed to. I have used them on powders too and they were good to use. In general, I find undyed hair eyeshadow brushes can pick up and really pack on product in a dense way from powders to creams. I tend to use undyed brushes for baked gelee formulas and chunky glitter shades (especially from PMG). The undyed version seem to excel at picking up all kinds of powders and can blend very fine powders well. Viseart and SUQQU shadows come to mind. If you have more urgent needs for eyeshadows, I recommend the Sky Eye set as a whole.
I think I'm part of the minority who love the shorter handles of the Keyaki set. I find they are useable for daily use, and I can't wait to travel with these someday! 👍
Great video, thank you! I already have 2 Keyaki mini base, but wouldn’t mind getting it again in the full size fusion style, that is how much I love it 💕
Thank you for review. Could you share your experience in more details for the Base and Classic Base, please? Why do you like the Classic Base more? Is it just because of small shape or do you see the difference in application? What do you think would it be useful to have the Classic Base, if I have the Base? I have a small face and I do love the small brushes to be honest. I think they allow more precision application.
I like how the Classic Base feels on my skin and the circular buffing motion I adopted also feels very intuitive. The finish I get is smooth with just the right coverage (medium), but I do not think it performs better than the Jumbo Base. I think it comes down to preference. If you enjoy small brushes, I think you’ll find the Classic Base to be lovely. The Jumbo gives a sheerer application. The Classic being smaller can be useful for blush and bronzer. You can use the Jumbo too but area coverage will be different and less precise.
@@MichiMakesUp thanks for answer! And what about the Base brush from the Lotus series? How do you feel about it in comparison with the Classic Base? And to you see the strokes after application via those brushes?
Thank you for explaining how you use each brush. I love the Keyaki set because I prefer short handles (to get close to the mirror) and the brush head sizes are ideal for me. I bought the mini base and jumbo base when the Fusion set first launched and I love them. I don’t know if I will get any other Fusion brush -yet. Thank you for the video.
You got all the goods Jocelyne! Exquisite taste. ;) This week I've been using primarily from the Fusion set, Classic Base, Mini Base and Jumbo Concealer. Today, I reached for the Soft Concealer to better buff out foundation on the tip and around my nose. I have some texture there that needed some refinement.
I like the Fusion set much more than the Lotus set. The Jumbo base brush does a phenomenal job with liquid foundation whereas the Base brush from the Fusion set left streaks on my face. I’ve finally found a foundation brush that works for me! 🎉😊 Do you have any suggestions for other uses for the Fusion Base brush?
I tried using Jumbo Base to apply setting powder. It got the job done, but I didn’t like how it felt. I think the concealer brushes could be nice eyeshadow brushes for larger area blending and buffing cause of their size.
