The fact that you don't know in real time if a run is a record and you literally have to wait until it's re-timed is the most Sonic 06 thing ever.

This video is well scripted, nicely edited and entertaining. It's a great video to introduce a lot of people to the speedrunning scene for Sonic 06 and might lead to people being curious about the other categories too. By the way, you can manually save. Also, the fully completed game was too much for the PS3/360, so that's why the build released was the way it was.

I am wondering if the 'fast load' phenomenon mentioned in the video is related. It's possible I just didn't notice because the difference isn't actually that large.
