Oh, so THAT'S where all the good things about Sonic 2006 disappeared to.

***** Am I the only one who kinda likes Sonic and the Secret Rings? Sure, the controls are terrible but then again we are all bad at some stuff..

Quite frankly, I LOVED Sacred/Secret Rings. It was the first 3D Sonic game I played, so maybe that's why I found the controls to be surprisingly smooth and easy to get used to, but they were. The story? Subjective, but I enjoyed it. The party mode is pretty fun, except for the fishing minigame which just doesn't work (my favorite minigame is Spin: Steel Survival). Unlike Sonic 2006, it pulled off a Sonic/humanoid-girl friendship without it being too awkward (second time's the charm?). The difficulty is everything between incredibly easy and nigh-impossible. The music is AWESOME. And the EX-boss is possibly the most intense final boss battle in any Sonic game- or most Wii games- I've ever played.

Dreigonix Honestly, I had no clue what sonic was but when my parents saw the game they were like "Omg we should get it" so I got it and it really was a new experience for me. One of my first Wii Games too!

Hoo boy, that's one heck of a burn! Yep, Sonic '06 working properly is so rare that it counts as a glitch!

Their team was split in half during development then they were rushed so they actually literally were not able to bug test the game and release the game on schedule at the same time

Chris Cross Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric is literally the new sonic 06. Its so easy to, a person who wasnt trying to speed run beat it in 51 minutes

You should look at games on the likes of the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, etc. Plenty of unfinished and literally unwinnable games on those systems.

Alta Parks Well, Sonic 06 was published in 2006. Boom in 2014. The standards in 2014 are somewhat higher than in 06.

Alta Parks Boom is definitely a better game. It's not impossible to play without glitches(but both do have glitches), unlike '06. '06 was simply a jumbled mess, Boom was a less jumbled mess with a tarp or two over it.

I rather prefer Elise in a Sonic game than Sally

Dreigonix That... is actually not a bad idea... It's the same problem Sonic Boom had. It had the basis for being a pretty good game, but it was horribly rushed, had a terrible amount of glitches, and just wasn't done well. Though I think it would be pretty hard to fix _all_ the glitches. Even some games that are considered to be the best by a lot of people have some. I guess they should focus on the biggest ones, though. :P

SEGA took away half of the people working on it, so they could make Sonic and the Secret Rings [WII] so when the deadline came, they released...this monstrosity of unfinishedness.

I thi k a lot of it was the glitches and just how....different it is then normal. Something about the humans (Elise) in a game/series that had been just animals is a rather jarring jump

Yep, Sonic 2006 literally isn’t finished, so most ‘glitches’ are just results of that. The purple gem infinite jump isn’t even a glitch at all, they literally didn’t program Sonic’s ability bar, and it’s very funny because of that. Also, do we really think Sonic losing physics on loops is a glitch after what Sonic Heroes had, and losing physics is better then losing control *cough* *cough* Sonic Forces.

The reason why I oppose and against Forces, it’s because they’re using the same recycled contents from those previous games even the final boss is the same thing. If you don’t want to heed my advice, then that shows how scared you are and quick to judge on 06 that has a lot of potential and did something new :P
