@@avasyubiswal5421 perhaps :D its been a year since i made that comment but i think the thought process on it was that Sega in particular fuckin loves Chemical Plant and Casino Night, but have given no love to aquatic ruin. Even Oil Ocean got some love in Mania!! 😭 but anyways yes i agree that it’s not underrated in the sonic community itself
That little beat at 1:06 and 2:19 is one of the things that makes the song for me. Masato Nakamura's original demo of the song is great (though it sounds more like a Klonoa song than a Sonic song) but it doesnt have that slap of a beat there. Just that little bit missing makes it feel so much less rich sounding for some reason. Also, I never even realized that the song used the Sega Master Systems PSG channels for this! That isolated track sounds like its straight out of an old SMS/GG game!
where is the slap of the beat dude.. the time marks u gave only show the riff and bassline... and yeh the original demos and final ones are so different. its the small few additions added, which makes song what it is
0:39 I see where people say that channel 4 sounds like a "western whistle" but the way I've always heard it was as a subtle nod to the original Tarzan yell (Johnny Weissmuller) and the way it fluctuates in a similar manner in the Aquatic Ruin. You are in a forested area after all, not a desert.
Hey, I have two other suggestions: Sonic 1 & 2 Game Over Deconstructed Sonic 3 Game Over Deconstructed If you have the time for Bass Change, please do that as well with these. Thanks! :)
good job carpathia, but can you tell me which notes are 16th notes and which are 8th notes? because if i was right, that means this song uses 32th notes (and flying battery too)
Great job as always! Only one question though... why is it that some colours have been used for more than one track? I got really confused when the color blue was used for two tracks that were so close to each other, I was not able to tell them apart. Aside from that, I have a few suggestions I'd like to hear deconstructed: - Major Boss Theme (Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Hard Bosses Edition) - Scrambled Egg Zone (Sonic 2 8-bit) - Boss Fight (Sonic 2 8-bit - Master System version) - Electric Egg Zone (Sonic Chaos) - Electric Egg Zone, Act 3 (Sonic Chaos) - Good Ending (Sonic Chaos) - Gourmet Race (Kirby Super Star)
Apologies for the poor colour choices, I'm new to using this embers program and also using an actual DAW to edit the midi data. The future tracks will have more distinct colour choices to hopefully make it apparent which tracks are which while being played all at once.
I can put them there if people want, thing is though they won't sound like they do in the video, every instrument will just be a piano sound. Also, I moved sound channels around to be more separate in the video but on a piano it would sound kinda bad to have your main lead instrument be at the very tip of the piano.
@@carpathia808 it’s very easy to just move the midis into a different octave, along with changing the instrument. I don’t mind however you upload it. XD
