At the triple repeats stage, with the really fast scale up, the PSG and the FM lead instrument actually mix in a way that creates a really unique sound. While the FM lead just repeats the same note twice, the PSG is one note higher, then drops down. The note feels like it's both doing the jump and static at the same time.
