This last campaign haunts me... I could never beat the knuckles section and it still bothers me today. (The game was my brothers, but he sold our gamecube because we got a wii, and I lost my memory card.)

Man.... this act blew my kid mind back in 2001......... So, I remember being so HYPED for this game to release. It felt like years before it finally came out from the time it was announced. I liked the idea of a new hedgehog and Shadow was mega hype for me, couldn't wait to play as him. But this final act, talk about subverting expectations. Having both sides team up to defeat a greater enemy, Eggman walking everyone through what to do over the radio, flying through space as Super Sonic and Super Shadow all while the theme music is blasting, saving the world... But most of all, Shadow sacrificing himself.... It was all so dam beautiful :')

Since the ending of Sonic 2 movie confirmed Shadow, I wonder how they're going to incorperate this story into the movie version.

Call me crazy but I honestly think if shadow had stayed "dead" after this game, the impact of his sacrifice would be that much greater. I personally think, if they wanted, that they should have waited to bring him back several years later rather than the very next game.

It’s weird that suddenly there are vibrations like Knuckles said but when the camera angle switches it’s all calm again. (Also the stars aren’t outside aren’t moving at all considering how fast the ARK is supposed to be moving.) However I did enjoy Eggman’s heroic moments in this arc.

Oh man, I remember playing this on my crappy little t.v that was in my room huddled up with my gamecube. When I finally finished this game and saw how shadow had changed and teamed to save the world my heart sank when he "died" especially with the picture of shadow at the end.

Its crazy how Sonic 06 Scared Sega out of making anything this ambitious with this much love ever again, dropped the whole formula smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ and now this is all we want, and this game is $90 now for a gamecube version, like imagine a universe where Sonic 06 worked
