The Chao Garden is my main hobby. As a kid, I didn't really get it, but I replayed SA2 a year or so ago and it all clicked. I probably don't even have about half the time you do, but just seeing the passion other people have for this keeps my passion for it going. I really enjoyed this video, seeing other people's Chao is always nice.

Years ago I created a gag blog where I would document my journey to create the ultimate 'Chao', but as a funny spin on things I would act completely disgusted by them. I don't know why I thought that was funny, but I basically misinterpreted everything the Chao did as something nefarious.

I played sa2 solely for the chao garden. I remember crying to that delete chao menu too lmao.

Outside of me not grinding multiple chaos chao, you pretty much described by summers between 2002-2006. If I wasn't playing Animal Crossing, Smash, or Pokemon, my cousin and I poured SO many hours into this game. Makes me really wish there'd have been a running count of hours played like modern games/steam have now. As much as I loved it then, I just don't have the time to commit to them like I did then. If I were to raise chao now, i'd 100% just cheat engine/trainer the ring grind. The wear and tear on my GBA batteries and wavebird controllers that went to grinding rings and animals is almost astounding to think of and this is coming from a Destiny player lol. Then again, that's probably why I have the patience and mind to mindlessly grind in games for hours.

I've sank an uncountable amount of hours into the SA2 Chao Garden. I remember my brother having a ghost chao that whooped me in every event, ahh those were the days...

The Chao Garden is nostalgic. I even have Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam. Yet in the steam version There are mods too that people use. Honestly a new Chao Garden would be sweet to explore. Especially if they update some of the existing Chao and add more colors too.

I got so freakin obsessed with these stupid things, my gay cousin deleted my save file and I lost em all after spending hundreds of hours raising the little freaks. I was beyond pissed off, I told him i was happy his parents got a divorce and that he’s the reason why it happened.

Weird that they never did this a game on its own yet! I mean they even got rid of cream and replaced her with chaos so they should give us a chao game

You can actually get hero chao and devil chao in SA1 with the Hero and Dark fruits.

I just can't wrap my head around why they don't bring this feature back into newer games.

It really bothers me that the bar that fills up along side the levels stops with a 5th of the orange bar remaining.

I loved that game! It is so stupid that sega never made an own chao game. Even a mobile game would work better than those weird racing games. Luckily one RU-vidr works on that system. Poglings is our chance! Because of bomb rush cyberpunk sga makes a new jet set radio so maybe...
