I am genuinely wondering if the excitement was because of Game Grumps. They had a pretty hilarious playthrough of Big's levels that became really popular.
@@deewolf1903 Might have partially been that. A lot of it though was our friends. I've been going to these for a while, so I had a lot of people really excited to gas this run up. Plus it was late so everyone was getting loopy from being tired anyway. Then when the original hype started with them, it dragged other people in like gravity. Feeling was magical though, gotta give the crowd a lot of credit.
Still have such a hard time believing I was actually part of this run. Allegro and I both agree it was everything we wanted it to be and a million times more. Shoutouts to the crowd for making this run even more spectacular than it had any right being. This was so much fun and I'm so glad to see so many people in the comment section enjoyed it as much as we did performing it.
And people ask why someone can like SADX despite it being just downright broken as a game. I mean, with that kind of community, why not? We all love it, especially Big, look at the crowd's reaction, literally anything happening triggers insane levels of cheers and stuff :D
"jumping is the fastest way to travel" Ah, one of the few speedrun tricks my kid self found out alone, along with Paper Mario's spin-to-jump x) I do wish more people knew about it, though, it makes Amy actually pretty fun to play as.
Hopefully Sega takes the right message from this run's popularity and gives us the action fishing collect-a-thon we all thought we were getting when Sonic Adventure launched.
