If anybody is wondering why the map says jammed instead of showing the course map. It’s because 1st place decides between the boat and jet segment of the course.
Other reason is that the whole car section of this track is bended like spaghetti, in the wii u version you can see the map in the gamepad screen and it's very confusing
I have always loved this track. I love all the little hints of nostalgia littered along the way in the form of holograms. From systems like Game Gear,Mega Drive and even the old Out Run arcade cabinet,to Characters like Ryo, Chu Chu Rocket and of course Sonic himself.
I just love it when race tracks in games or levels actual reference the main menu or the game itself by having the title of the game incorporated in the level. Gives it this whole "collective" feel. Like "coming full circle", y'know?
This was my first sega game as a kid. I was more of a Nintendo and later forget about the game as a whole after I was around 9 or 10. I had came across this game again from a friend telling me about it and all the memories came back to me listening to this song.
why does everyone have an obsession with comparing everything to rainbow road like omg can games not do their own thing without everyone comparing it to something else
Ok, 4 months late, but i have an answer. It's because the stage is laid out vertically, you're constantly falling, which, on a mini map, that supposed to show a top down look of the map, would just be a dot, or a messy cluster.
This level is like developing a game were changes are made and get tested like us playing this track because ages is sega and it's the the race of sega
