📖 Sonic Classic Heroes is a ROM hack that is the result of a collaboration between flamewing and ColinC10, combining their respective hacks Sonic 2 Heroes and Sonic 1 and 2. It therefore is a single ROM that offers the entire campaigns of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, either alone or together; and enables the player to play as many characters such as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. The hack is named due to the ability to control a team of characters, which is reminiscent of the more recent 3D game Sonic Heroes.

This is my first time properly recommending a game, but you might take a look at Sonic 2 Pink edition. You play as Amy, with Cream the Rabbit as the sidekick, and it controls differently, I'd say a bit more difficult even.

Did you know? In the select screen, you can go directly to each and every bonus stage to cheese the emeralds. If you get one set, you get Super transformation, and Hyper with both

If you’re impressed by Tails carrying both Sonic and Knuckles then wait until you see what Cream and Charmy can do! Both are are really small/young characters and they fly around carrying the likes of Big the Cat and Vector

@@vesteler0 Yes, he is one of the youngest cast members. He’s not quite as young as Cream or Charmy, though. Also, I would have to imagine that Big and Vector would weigh at least as much on their own as the combined weight of Sonic and Knuckles. Omega is probably pretty heavy, too, so even Rouge is probably getting her own workout carrying her teammates. I’m not saying that Tails isn’t doing something impressive, or that he couldn’t carry a heavier set of characters, just that he’s more than likely doing the least amount of heavy lifting out of all the other fly type characters in this situation.

If you wanna break the game, switch to Knuckles. Jump and use his glide right before landing on an enemy, for some-reason you just shoot high up into the air while maintaining your excessive height, plus you can skip ENTIRE levels because he picks up so much speed. The higher you jump onto an enemy, the higher he will be launched.

Fun fact: When sonic has a shield he gets another ability if you jump twice. Flame shield =Dash Lightning shield = Double jump Bubble shield = = Bounce

The Sol Emerald is a reference to Sonic Rush. They're Blaze's version of the Chaos Emeralds. After collecting them all, she can become Burning Blaze for the final boss battle if Sonic is able to become Super Sonic. And judging on the way the Sonic 2 emeralds look, I can get why they might have rebranded them for the hack.

Yeah Sonic and BTG love time. This was cool. What a fun hack. I love how people are putting so much heart into Sonic and making these neat ideas into games. I love how you could be all the characters and that Tails could carry Sonic and Knickles, Tails expression on his face when carrying was cool. The bonus zone was smart with all three of them. The “Sol” Emeralds are actually used by Blaze The Cat, as it’s power turns her into “Burning Blaze,” similar to how the Chaos Emeralds turn Sonic into “Super Sonic.” “Sol” Emeralds are associated with the Fire Element, as well as Blaze The Cat.

If you make a second episode, you should try the chaotix style gameplay, where you're banded to each character, and chaos ensues. I enjoyed watching the video and would love to see a part 2. The Sol Emeralds are basically the Chaos Emeralds of Blaze's Dimension from Sonic Rush. And the Hack is based on the Gamecube game Sonic Heroes.

Ah, yes. I remember playing this game a few years ago, back when I was playing Super Smash Flash and Super Mario Bros. Crossover. I found the combinations in those three games interesting. I think there's a 15 continues + night mode code in Sonic Classic Heroes by inserting 01 09 09 02 01 01 02 04 or something like that. Also, I know that Super Mario Bros. Crossover does run on Flash, but is there a way to still play the game?

This is an excellent Sonic rom hack. I've waited for it's newest update and it came this year's beginnig. :D So I was confused about the Sol Emeralds until I found those are from Sonic Rush games and the Archie Sonic Comics.
