Fun fact about sonic: Yuji Naka creator of sonic thought hedgehogs couldn’t swim so he made sonic unable to swim however a few months after Sonic 1 released on the genesis/mega drive Naka discovered hedgehogs were great swimmers, years later in Lego dimensions Takashi Izuka made sonic able to swim but with a massive fear of water which he developed after Labyrinth zone

You know what’s actually makes this mod even worse (for sonic/sink)? Sonic has a huge fear/phobia of water, so the fact that he’s suffocating in something he’s afraid to be in is worse than it already is. Edit: so it doesn’t seem like it’s canon that he has hydrophobia, my apologies, but he’s definitely not fond of water either, as can be seen in many games, so take my comment as you will.

the willpower part makes alot of sense, think about it he never gives up even in a life or death scenario, therefor itd take way more than that to kill him

Lore : Sink.exe was just a normal sonic that dealt so many pain and he was alone how he got stuck in the water was that his leg got connected to a chain that leads to a crashed underwater mine, the crack sounds were from his leg breaking by the chain or his lungs collapsing due to the massive amount of water that got in, soul sonic is with him, his willpower was keeping him alive but he was just still there drowning with blood coming out of his eyes and nose due to how long he’s been there For people who know the spin dash: he didn’t do the spin dash because it was in the labyrinth zone in sonic 1 so the spin dash never existed

Q:Why hasn't sonic spin dash yet? A:Tails is the inventor of the iconic spin dash however he was canonically introduced in the end of sonic 1 or the beginning of 2. Q:Why is Sonic coming back to life? A:It's because this Sonic in particular has will power so abnormal it put him into a zombiefied state. Q:Why hasn't anyone found him yet? A:Who would even dare go to labyrinth zone? Remember Sonic is probably only half way through the stage and it's entirely flooded. Q:What happens to the world without Sonic? A:... Nobody knows.

For Sky and Ski I imagined Sonic to get a flashback to when OG Skunky or tails (which ever your perfer) mistook the hotchocolate for coffee

Okay, so answering some of the questions.. Like Amy saying "Where are we in this universe?!" You are not. Well you are but you didn't meet sonic. Its based off Sonic 1. In Sonic 1, sadly Sonic has no friends. He got stuck in water, with a chain in his leg. He just have to wait until something saves him.. Which won't happen for a long long time.
