@@maohemu262 Good point. I guess we should just ignore the cutscene at the end of Colours where all the purple and violet Wisps revert back to normal, considering Violet Void appeared in Forces and again in Team Sonic Racing. I'm fine with that.
But there is a difference. Void inhales everything you cross paths with,allows for free floating,and your size and speed increase the more you absorb. Asteroid pulls everything up from where it was and throws it in orbit around you,still adheres to gravity,and the radius you can pull increases the more you take in.
As much as I hate the way Lost World implemented the wisp powers, it's still satisfying to use the indigo asteroid to break down everything I can touch.
Adam Malkovich Most of the wisps seem kinda like repeats of the originals Grey Quake= Spikes and Cube combined Ivory Lightning= Laser but with Clown man's thunder claw Crimson Eagle= Faster version of hover but with tilt controls (oh god why SEGA?) Magenta Rhythm= Shitty version of burst Black Bomb= Frenzy with an added BOOM Indigo Asteroid= Too easy
I hate how the Wisps in Lost World are just lazy or rehashed versions of previous wisps (Asteroid=Void, Eagle=Hover, Quake=Cube, Bomb=Frenzy), and that they were just shoehorned in it with no explanation...but, I'm at least glad to see them again. But nothing will ever top Sonic Color's Wisps. Hopefully Forces will do the Wisps justice again, since it looks like they'll be returning.
@SuperYoshiFan10090 Studios Forces had good intentions with them but basically made them all way too powerful. For example, it would have been awesome to smash every enemy around you in one hit with Cube, if you couldn't also do that with all the others.
Some Wisps feel a little too similar to each other. In fact, the Wisps idea would make a bit more sense in a 3d Mario game, with the whole "powerup used to solve a task" concept, or on a gimmick level, rather than a "powerup used to make a stage easier" where it feels either shallow or forced.
In sonic colors ds it works really well it just got bad when the basically repeated the same wisps with different looks. Also sonic has had power ups to solve problems sense sonic 2.
um its wisp not whip but it could be some kinda anti-wisp and maybe the plot for the next new sonic game thats coming out called sonic 07 (i know the real name for the game is not here maybe because its just a new game and the only proof of its existence is a trailer but i still want this idea to be found from nintendo so heres my plot)there could be some kinda new anti wisp called the whips and there some sorta battle between them then while the battle is happening eggman takes this time to work on to suck both of there planets dry and use there energy to create a army that will not only help him takeover the world but also take over the wisp planets and the whip ones as well so its up to modern sonic and classic sonic to help both alien races escape the evil hands of dr.eggman (and you might be thinking why is there classic sonic in sonic 07? well its because i watched the trailer and i saw one part where sonic was about to get crushed by a peice of rubble and then classic sonic saves him so that means hes in the next game and thats why i mentioned him)
oh and by the way after that bad joke tomorow im making a wisp idea video for the next sonic game i wont tell you what they are yet but do come tomorow to see my wisp ideas and when t gets published please like comment and subscribe and you guys are awesome! :) and dont use this as a breeding ground for witch wisp is better so anyways see you guys and gals the next day! ok im back and way over the time i was going to share my ideas so my first is brown club when you get you will be able to spin around and it gets faster and faster the more you use it next up is turqoise spear it can kill people from a mile away and unlike club it will spike up and down perfect for getting hi to reach places too and like club it will go faster the more you use it and now for the final one it is drum role please *drum role sounds* it is! tan sub! now you already know what it does and you might be thinking we already have a wisp that can go underwater in the form of the yellow drill wisp but sub is diffrent it can shoot missles! yeah and if you go back on land it will cancel the wisp just like in sonic colours the purple frenzy wisp will cancel if you go on a spring and thats it! tell me in the comments whats your fav wisp? and if you guys have any wisp ideas of your own like on what it will turn into? and what colour would it be? so tell me in the comments and btw im going to make a video on these ideas so go check it out because i will make it today! so bye guys and stay awesome!
Never really got why the violet and purple are considered unnatural in-game, they’re just as much of a colour irl as any others, you can’t have a species based off colours and just go “except purple, purple isn’t real”
DS has burst and void Wii doesn't they have frenzy , hover , cube and spike Astroid,Eagle,Rythm,Bomb,Quake and lightning well those are lost world exclusives
astroid and void are not the same because void can gulp up rings and enemys not chunks of land but astroid can get chunks of land and instead of gulping them into nothing nes astroid puts the peices of land around its self
Let's Talk about the wisp's themes. (Click read More for More of my Opinions on wisp's themes!) The Cyan Laser Fits the Speed you go about when you release, which i think is pretty cool. The Yellow Drill's Theme is Okay underground... And it also sounds like space while underwater! The Pink Spikes' Theme is just plain damn repetitive. The Orange Rocket's theme has got a nice dubstep to it's theme, but i got pissed when it wasn't returning to 3DS Lost World. The Blue Cube's Theme has a nice touch to it, and it sounds like going through a Steampunk Factory. The Green Hover's theme fits it's UFO Personality. That's all i can say about it. The Purple Frenzy's theme is fitting to it's destructive Personality. The Red Burst's theme Just Copies the theme of The Pink Spikes In Colors DS, At Least It got it's own theme in Lost World! The Violet Void's Theme Just Slows Down The Current Map's Theme and claims it to be its own. Sort of like Disney In a Wisp. The Indigo Asteroid's Theme Actually fits Where it came from, Space! The Crimson Eagle's theme just says:You're goin high in the sky! The Magenta Rhythm has a nice Piano Tone to it. The Black Bomb's Theme is HILARIOUS. All i can say about it is it's like going through a Major Farm Chase! The Gray Quake's Theme Sounds Like a Cave is Collapsing and you need to escape FAST. The Ivory Lightning's Theme Actually Kinda Fits it's Speed! It's has Medium speed, then Close To Light-speed! This Took me over a Half an Hour to make. I think you're absolutely right, though I feel like asteroid and void are kinda similar (even in color since indigo is pretty close to violet in my opinion) and not only that but also in gameplay mechanics: they both turn you into a growing sphere that sucks up everything in sight. Of course, there are some differences: the main difference is that void is a nega-wisp and asteroid is a normal wisp, and as for the color power design, the difference between indigo and violet is very clear when you actually use their powers. Also their functionality is very different when you analize it. Void is literally a black (violet) hole (void) with a scary yellow face (sonic's face) that eats everything, and the more you eat, the bigger you get, and then you're allowed to eat even bigger and heavier stuff. Asteroid turns you into a mini replica of saturn and this time your little hedgehog ears are visible (also you only have yellow eyes, no mouth) and indigo asteroid doesn't really get bigger when you suck up stuff. You also have a gravity radius (or whatever) that turns everything in orbit around you and that radius that attracks things gets stronger when you "eat" more things.
