Sonic.EXE is CANCELLED!? - Friday Night Funkin' Unfinished Build 2.5/3.0 

Fun Fact: Prey was a song that got cut from the mod because one of the developers left the team and requested all his work to be removed. And since he wrote the story in Prey and was the owner of Furnace, the robot Sonic in the song, they removed it. and Fight or Flight was the song that would have replaced Prey. But I am really happy that both are playable, even if the mod is sadly canceled.

Something 1 streamer I watched said, It's sadder to see mods get cancelled for lack of excitement/interest and stress than from drama, because it shows fnf is dying, and that is true Edit:Why this comment popping off damn

For those who see this comment, know that this mod isn’t fully dead yet, one of the mod owners did give permission for some people to finish it themselves, kinda like the way the castle crashers mod was, so know that this mod isn’t done yet, it will truly get the encore it deserves

So basically how the fear mechanic works is the more misses/sacrifices you have the more the fear meter fills up and the faster Starved Eggman drains your health.

For people that didn't read all the new creepypastas in the mod: Fatality: An AI/virus called Fatal Prime was a really powerful AI that overthrew her creator, it created many other AIs/viruses, and one of the AI absorbed too much code from Fatal Prime, that made is look more distorted and more sentient, it later escaped Fatal Prime and went to another PC looking for code to steal to become more powerful, then it corrupted a Sonic 3 & Knuckles rom, using Sonic as a vessel and Tails, Knuckles, Eggman and Mecha Sonic as puppets Prey/Fight or flight: Eggman after being defeated in the events of Sonic 1 saw the corpse of a flicky (the little birds) and decide to eat it, he loved the flavor so much he decided to change his goal to eat mobians (the "humans" from sonic, like sonic himself) to saciate his neverending hunger, he created a new robot called Furnace that looks like sonic and catches flickies and mobians for Starved to eat (btw, his named is Starved now :)), he lost his mustache and his skin turned red because of his diet, he then catched sonic and saved his corpse to eat in a special ocasion, Tails then tried to stop him but it was useless Round a bout: A group of friends started fighting, and during that fight Sarah was killed, then they buried her, later then a Sega building was built above her corpse, her spirit possessed sonic games and now wants to make her "friends" feel the pain that she felt, slaving them and turning them into sonic characters (i didn't watch the season 2 of Needlemouse on youtube, so this is just from Season 1) Personel: Not actually a creepypasta, but a joke OC called Coldsteel that makes fun of edgy sonic OCs

3.0 being cancelled is sad, but honestly 2.0 was already their magnum opus that basically redefined FNF modding, i mean, 2.0 still lives up to this day even with INSANE mods like indie cross and twinsomnia and so many upgrades to older mods coming out. also i like how coldsteel actually got a pretty banger song. they couldve memed it and called it a day but there was actual effort put into the meme.

Man I'm so upset that this mod got cancelled, hopefully one day it will get revived and worked on again (maybe)

needlemouse is supposed to have a vhs filter, its just not in this build. the fear meter is broken (i think) and so the song is basically unbeatable.

This mod may be cancelled, but good news is that some of the directors of it are making official remakes of it, specifically EXETernal and ReRun. The teasers for it honestly look very dope, and I hope you can be able to play them whenever they’re released.

My headcanon for Fatal Error is that while trying to delete .exe (faker/black sun) his character files ended up getting corrupted and Fatal is him trying to get revenge

Well maybe one day a different team of Developers will see this unfinished build and be inspired and try to recreate what could have been, but yet again this me hoping so unlikely to happen

Here a list of reasons why v3 was canned (from the mods trivia page) A complete engine change. Two creeps have been on staff and fired, with the rest of the team having to restart development thanks to one of said creeps' work being the focal point of a previously planned update. Many leaks of incomplete builds and to-be-shown characters and songs were put into the public eye without the developer's permissionnote while an issue with Friday Night Funkin's mod scene in general, Vs. Sonic.exe was subject to more frequent leaks with larger severity than its peers.. A coder was removed after posting a fake leak that showed the player their IP address. Lots of cut songs and characters due to people joining and leaving the mod, with even characters that were announced very early on, such as Sally_ALT, Demogri and Griatos, being taken out. The role of director being shared and changed multiple times throughout development due to internal conflict and/or health reasons.

Thats why an FNF mod isnt supposed to be a large one cuz the devs are gonna be stressed out and are gonna overwork themselves to the point where they cant do it anymore the revie situation made it a lot worse and the leak builds are really bad thats what a fandom does to its game.
