I’m glad that you enjoyed Maniac Mania! I’m one of the voice actors and audio editors on the team, so I’m glad to hear that people are enjoying it, even if I only contributed a little bit. Truth be told, some of my audio for the characters are a bit outdated. Toy Sonic and Clone Mighty’s voice lines I recorded are pretty bad in my opinion, but at least I was able to re-record Origin Sonic’s audio for an update. Either way, I hope that that didn’t bring the experience down for you too much.
Honestly, it was all great! It was one of the more pleasant FNAF Fan Games I've played! Had a good time with it so kudos to you and the team for your work! :D
Thank you for putting the name of the creators in the video! Almost nobody credits the original artists anymore, for basically anything nowadays. Art theft is rampant and it's always nice to see someone actually take the time to credit the people who workes on something(which should be the norm, but people suck.)
Few things I wanted to mention after watching the video. 1: "Sonic After the Sequel" actually does have a rebuild to make it more stable, called "Sonic After the Sequel Omega". There are also a few added features such as Mania's Drop Dash. 2: "Sonic Robo Blast 2" recently got an update that adds a new camera/control setting marked "Simple", to make it more user-friendly to players with a controller, or who can't easily use Keyboard/Mouse controls. (I play on a laptop, so that includes me.) There are also 3D models to replace nearly all of the 2D sprites if you look on the forums and use the OpenGL mode. 3: I don't know how much work you put into getting "Sonic Megamix" 4.0 to work, but here's a piece of advice. Megamix 4.0 is a SEGA CD game. You'll probably need the BIOS to get the emulator to work. There's a ton of directions online on how to set that up. As far as other games that you missed that deserve a follow-up video, I'd recommend "SRB2 Kart", a modded version of "Sonic Robo Blast 2" that turns it into a massive Mario Kart-esque racer. It actually has a bigger following than standard SRB2, and you can nearly always find a ton of people playing online. There's also a bunch of fan-created tracks and characters, as well as an option to play using 3D racer models instead of 2D sprites. As a challenge to your statement that "Sonic 06 is a bad game, nothing's going to change that", I recommend looking up the "Sonic 06 Project" by BrianuuSonicReborn. It's an attempt to port all of the levels from 06 into Generations. Between the various demos currently released, there's one that includes the first three main levels of Sonic's story as well as incorporates Soleanna as a 3D hub world that replaces the original 2D one in Generations. The latest demo, a one-level demo of Kingdom Valley, is probably the most impressive in re-interpreting the level to work in the Generations engine, incorporating sections from Sonic's, Shadow's, and Silver's story all together, with some really amazing set-pieces that are absolutely unbelievable in how they were made using Generations's engine.
There is one great Sonic fangame that no youtuber seems to remember. It's called "Sonic Battle: Lost Ending Neo" it's a very well made japanese fighting game that plays kinda like Marvel vs Capcom but the developers stopped working on it a long time ago. I would be really happy if someone shows that game some love and recognition.
Heads up for people who wish to play Sonic Robo Blast 2 (SRB2 for short): While controller is supported (and turned better with the current patch), i cant recommend enough to play it with a mouse and keyboard, it may feel weird to play it that way but when you get accostumed to it, boy, you start questioning why it isnt a default for any 3d sonic game. Also the game features some modes that implement FPS aspects to it (ringslinger modes) and more classic ones you would see in a sonic game, some of those are: Match - You can shoot people with rings you collect while they also function as HP, there are some special colored rings that are different types of "guns", one can make you shoot rings like a minigun, one deploys ring mines, theres one where it is just hitscan...etc. CTF - Same as match, but the objective is to grab a flag and deliver it to your base. Tag/Hide & Seek - you have to either run or hide from the ITS, who are the only ones who can use guns, getting hit in Tag makes you one of them and in H&S you dont. Race - Self explanatory, race the maps and be the first one to finish them Competitive - Besides gaining points from being first to finish, the rings you collected, enemies you killed and how many monitors you hit also count up to your total score You can search up for Addons for the game (tipically just called WADS by the community) from: mb.srb2.org/forumdisplay.php?f=116 (Put the WAD/LUA/PK3 file on your srb2 install folder and search for it on the addons menu ingame) And the latest version can be downloaded here: www.srb2.org/download/ (any OS other than Windows take a time to compile a build for, so its recommended to play on Windows) OBS: I recommend that when playing ringslinger modes, to use the OPENGL laucher that comes with the game as it allows you to look up and down without distorting the screen (OPENGL supports 3d models that you can download from the Forums) OBS2: Heres the discord for the game, where you can discuss about stuff i guess: discord.gg/U8ZMCZz ......Did you know Sonic Robo Blast is older than Sonic Adventure?
Also this game spawned up a spin-off where sonic is in a car, Mario Kart style, so uhh, heres the link for its discord: discord.gg/b4RWNMN Its quite good, go check it out
If you will do a second Sonic Fan Games video, I'll suggest Sonic Project Hero, a 3D Sonic fan demo, that has multiple playable characters, momentum based gameplay, and THOSE WIERD HOVERBOARDS FROM SONIC RIDERS!!!
This was one I was keeping my eye on. I mean, chances are we'll be jumping in one or two times more for Sonic fan games if people liked it. I had a REALLY good time with this video.
Have you tried Lone Devil's Metal Sonic rom hacks? More specifically: Metal Sonic Hyperdrive & Rebooted? I also recommend you try out Sonic Riders Tournament edition, it's been balanced for a more competitive environment
Well, Sonic Megamix v4 and v5 (raw prototype) are working on Sega Mega CD, so maybe RetroArch just isn't supporting Mega CD very well? I recommend you try using some other emulator like Kega Fusion or Gens with additional Mega CD bios plugins
I know ur busy and stressed out about all these videos ._. But a cool idea of creating a mario fan games video and a cool horror type game related to mario i suggest that u could use in the vid is called "Call of Cthulhu" , its a really good creepy mario styled game, but thats enough of my rambling, just enjoy ur self and everyone stay safe =D
*Finally, someone talks about SRB2!* Nobody talks about this game! It recently got a 2.2.1 update, which is amazingly different then it's 2.1 version. The sprites and acts all got reworked with *SLOPES!* Doom doesnt have those, does it?
The Ordinary Sonic hack practically gave me a heart attack. When that scare got me, I closed it down, and I have never touched the site it was on since
You should review Spark the electric jester! It's a indie game made by the creator of Before the sequel/after the sequel and Sonic Chrono adventure, LakeFeperd.
Hey would you look at that, another good fan games video! I don't know anything about sonic but the video was still pretty good. Also holy shit you look tired in the beginning. Also also, 50k subs!
Well, I can tell you all the of the games here were pretty damn fun if you ever want to jump in! And I know! Half way to that sweet sweet silver play button! (Also, I'm always tired haha...ha...ha... oh...)
I've saw people using sonic soundtracks in random videos but I'm so confused yet so happy that you used the FRICKIN FNAF SOUNDTRACK for some of this video.
I'm just gonna note a few things about SRB2. 1) There are 3 secret characters. I'm not gonna tell you who they are, but it's unimportant. 2)The game is at its best with mods. Some I'd reccomend are the 3D Models mod, the Modern Sonic and Werehog mods (which are compatible with each other), and there's a mod that lets you have save files with mods, because you can't in the base game. 3)SRB2 has been in development since the mid-90s, so SRB1 isn't a flash game. K that's it
White streek speeds by Yeth... The hell is that, Yeth... Yeth, what can it be. Yeth, we’ll never know. Yeth is the strangest thing alive... Is the strangest thing alive... IS THE STRANGEST THING ALIVE!!!!
For fnaf fan games 5: Look I'm sorry I know this is a sonic fan games but look it's just for the fnaf fan games 5 sorry if you are annoyed by this comment sorry ;-; But here's fnaf fan game it's called six nights at zany club check it out
How about maybe if you do this again you could check out the fan game Sonic world its really big with so many characters and you mod in other characters into the game.
You got a haircut?! Looks good 😄 I can't watch the video at the moment but I'm still giving it a view and a like, hopefully you get what I mean. Haha. Miss you, Dan. Hope you and Alyssa are doing alright.
First off, apologies for being late. Second off, good pacing. Like a great slow burn horror film, you started off Normal, then went "What the f**k?!?!" Sonic and FNAF must compete for weirdest fan game fandom...
In order to get Megamix 4.0 to work (which is a Sega CD game), use Kega Fusion and not Retroarch. And Sonic AtS got TWO remakes, AtS DX and Omega (unfinished)! Unfortunately BtS got none :( And i see DX more as an update. (IMPORTANT EDIT: To fix the cutscene issue, try switching the compatibility mode to Windows 7.)
Just gonna drop some SRB2 info here... You can look up and down in SRB2 by changing options, but it uses that DooM software renderer, so the environment kinda warps and glitches as you look up and down. In my opinion it's best to leave it off. SRB1 was not made in Flash (I don't even know if Flash existed back in '98), it was made in an old software called Klik-n-Play, which would eventually evolve into the well-known Clickteam Fusion. You can unlock more characters by accomplishing things in SRB2. Not gonna spoil anything...just sayin'. Sorry if I sounded like a smart-ass lol
Cybert complaining about how to get Sonic Megamix to work and get AD "Mike Bloomburg is here to help" There'syour answer now he requires a vote 3 minutes later: Sanicbal- Car ad wat
Nice video dan. I have a request if you ever do a part 2 you should touch on Srb2k which is a mod for Sonic robo blast 2 that makes it a racing game and super modable
Me: *Sees Yeth in title and thumbnail* Oh no, has this guy seen AntDude Also Me: *Watches video* Yes, yes he has Again, Also me: Oh boy, it are the comments all "White streak, Speeds by"? *checks comments* YES, yes they are
I legit want to know what the thought process was for those who worked on Sonic Dreams Collection; and how many different drugs they took while making it.
To get Sonic Megamix V4 working, get the Kega Fusion emulator on PC and download the Sega CD Bios from the internet and set them in the settings. Once you do that, you should get both Sega CD games and Sonic Megamix V4 working.
