@@Fractorification power boost always had been really fast, its just the air boost making him much slower than other boost games which has been reduced back to more like boost games' jump dash
In all fairness I think the super prominent effects from forces would be kinda over the top for the open zone of frontiers, I think the more simple effects work for that setting, it’s just in cyberspace where it’s an issue
1:58 Too bad there was an invisible wall there. I think that if there was a route (based on the one from enemy territory) only accessible by using the spin Dash that would’ve been kind of neat
It wouldn't make sense for this to exist, the Sonic Unleashed project only exists because Sonic Unleashed has never been officially ported to PC or is not available for PC, So, the generations modders ported the daytime levels from Sonic Unleashed so that people could have the opportunity to see what a little bit of Sonic Unleashed looks like with the only exception being the Werehog levels.
It is very funny how the properties of Sonic in Sonic Frontiers utilized are built off of what what they coded for Sonic Forces, so with what this mod is, we’ve come full circle.
When it comes to Cyberspace levels alone, Sonic is definitely nerfed in speed and overall handling. I'd argue even worse than in Forces. Not even boosting (without power boost unlocked) really adds much speed which becomes more blatant when it's an Unleashed/Generations Cyberspace level.
Sunset heights looks really good with motion blur. That bothered me so much about Forces. More than the stiff animations or weird sonic model and color-the lack of motion blur and cheap looking “speed lines” which were such a downgrade from Unleashed and Generations
TBH, I tried this mod out, and my fingers were cramping when I finally got that S rank time. I was trying all sorts of launches with the spindash, in the 3D sections I had to incoporate a couple of homing dashes too in order to make it to the end. Even then if I got hit even one time, I was done and there was no way of making it in record time.
Kinda sad Sonic frontiers might be the last sonic game with Hedgehog engine. Not sure what Sonic x Shadow generations is going to use though. Wanted Sega to evolve this engine so much too. UE5 is really overrated
@@Samiure9supercool nope, sonic forces uses the sonic lost world engine with a few tweaks, while the unleashed/gens engine got left in the dust for some reason. Some people say it's because they lost the code which isn't that much of a stretch when we're talking about sonic team imao
They divided the force levels into several parts, so they give the impression of having a beginning and a middle, but not an end, looking like unfinished.
@@CatWarior22 I know and we hate Sonic's model in the two games I mentioned. :) (What do you think of my favorite series besides Sonic? The Loud House, Powerpuff Girls, Nickelodeon, DC and ETC? :)
Irdk what to say but its just sunset heights man, still the same tiny baby stage Makes me think it works really well as a cyberstage stage, but a horrid actual level
@@ThaBababoey they say sunset heights was split into two separate stages to increase the games length, kind of like how they turned sonic colors two stages per act into 5 by splitting the stages up.
please, seriously if anybody decides to remake forces DONT do the same level design, this is the worst idea to do, its literlla just too straight for a sonic game.
