I love how Frontiers captured all the mid-2000s energy which has come to define Sonic and just embraced it, turning its campy edge into a legitimately great experience.
Undefeatable single-handedly got me in metalcore and I have no regrets. It's like I'm finally going through that edgy phase I've been missing all my life
Sega regularly hires people who were former fans and have taken time to show their skills, that's why Sonic Mania is a thing, that's why the main writer of this game is in the franchise.

The Knight is cool overall, but that kick just proved that Sonic is an indomitable force of nature and I always got Sonic and The Black Knight vibes when he picked up the giant sword and destroyed The Knight titan with it. 12:35
Sonic Frontiers. What a SOUNDTRACK! Crush 40 was an awesome era for Sonic, and I don't think anything could ever take their place in my heart, but good LORD I am so down for more metalcore in Sonic games. I'm excited for the future.
I think it's something amazing happening because most of the fans who are old enough now to see the growth in the community there's going to be sounds that match the feel but Undefeatable is such a vibe it speaks on the era of the series

Last battle is peek fiction, straight out of an anime, epic and full of emotion. Music director in this game did a great job, and I'm saying 'great' because english is not my first language and I don't know another adjective which describes it better

I love how so many people love this game but back when the game was in development so many people was against the fought of having an open world sonic game and didn't even give them a chance and was doubting and completely in denial before the game was even released. And then as the game got closer and closer to release people joined the hype wagon and then it got released and now it's probably one of the best sonic games lmao
To be fair, they made nothing but straight garbage for over a decade straight. What else could anyone expect? Instead, they dropped this absolute banger. Kinda reminds me how every time they pick an actor for Batman people dismiss them, then the actor ends up being iconic for the role. We have no idea what we want until it's in front of us, I guess.
Well, you can't blame us. Our last Sonic game was bloody Forces, and the trailers were... concerning. What we saw made it look like one of those Unreal Engine tech demos people make with pre-made assets, that fills the comments with "OMG SEGA HIRE THIS GUY!!!", which was not a good sign.
"Supreme" Battle song always makes me feel pumped when punching the day lights out of the boss. Also it gives you insight to the weight of what Sonic is feeling. I have to say I like these new boss fights, reminds me of Monster Hunter that had a baby with Shadow Of The Colossus. Hope they do more~ I wonder what these new brave frontiers for these characters will be in the Future~ Tales be a Hero, Knux a Traveler, and Amy road tripping with the girls, hehe, you wonder, will Sonic be lonely, or bored with out them? I bet they will all be eager to return to tell them the stories~

After the success of the Adventure games, if I were the head of Sega, I wouldn´t allow a Sonic game to come out without a Super Sonic final battle and a metalcore theme
We had buttrock, we had the "epic" CRUSH40" but now we have have the "heavy genre" it 100% suits frontiers, I hope Sega continue this sonic final fights are always epic, add screamo/heavy metal. =perfection.

I always wondered what would have happened if the chaos emeralds gave a different super form from his memories. Hyper Sonic for Giganto, Darkspine Sonic for Wyvern, Gold Knight Sonic for Knight then Super Sonic for Supreme.
unfortunately Sega must have ptsd from some kind of backslash for Hyper Sonic since they never used it again. Even though this game would been the perfect excuse.
its been ages since ive felt alot of fun and adrenaline when playing as super sonic, like not even unleashed or generations gave me this exact level of excitement becoming super sonic and beating the hell out of the titans, the bg music adds up to it very nicely and the qtes make it a very chilling moment, i love it so much it goes on par with how i felt when becoming super sonic in sa vs perfect chaos

Bro this soundtrack fixes Sonic for me. I always had a soft spot for the buttrock, but this lives up to that unending confidence Sonic is supposed to portray.
As a metalcore fan, I'm glad this game is getting people into the genre. Kellin Quinn's vocals are top tier. I didn't really pay much attention to this game, but someone played Undefeatable to me and it surprised me that Sega would do this. Hell, maybe I'll play Frontiers now
That fight against The End was a damn masterpiece, loved the swap of gameplay due to the Super Sonic fights being far too easy and hot damn that music was near tear jerking, such a beautiful song, along with the monologue from the boss itself also being badass. This game certainly had it's flaws but it is without a doubt one of the best 3D Sonic games to date, i look forward to the next game and hope they continue to refine this gameplay style and make a true masterpiece.
The End was really underwhelming. A better boss fight following the games previous ones but with a harder difficulty wouldve made the ending feel a little more like an ending and not super rushed. Major disapointment
About that...I ended the game yesterday and...I had no battle against The End. Just the sequence where you need to press Y at the right time. Did I miss something?
The battle against "The End" only spawns on Hard difficulty, if you load the save and switch the difficulty to Hard in the options you'll get The End after you beat Supreme again

@@Emi_Ak1yama well, that's something you'd show in the second phase. Not in the intro of the first phase, the second phase on the other hand just makes an evangelion reference, which is never brought up in the gameplay. Even if it was a sniper rifle, it could've used it number of times even if it was chamber loading only. Edit: the rifle is pretty much already an evangelion reference, looks wise. It somewhat looks like the gun against Ramiel, which was shot numerous times.
This game definitely needed more time in the oven. A lot of these animations look like the more basic stuff you make before you refine and polish them. It's *almost* there, just needed more time to make everything work. I can see these being really good but atm they're all just a bit weird and stilted, or in a few cases straight up missing stuff (The sniper bullet deflecting comes to mind).
This game made me realise something. Holy how I never knew I needed heavy metal sonic songs. This game changed my lot of favourites so much. 2 frontiers songs in my top 3 (find your flame and I’m here). And 3 in my top 5 (find your flame, im here and undefeatable)

When other mascots times have come and gone they faded into obscurity, but Sonic was the one to carry on. No matter who stood in his way, they were just an enemy. He was Undefeatable. He simply kept reinventing himself and attempting to evolve as everyone ignored him. “I know that we will find our way, we’ll do whatever it will take, and if we never reach the crowd, we’ll tear the whole thing down.” trail and error caused Sonic to constantly try new things and grow despite the reception. He Broke Through It All if you will. This era was a wasteland full of uncertainty, where the only words to live by are “don’t look down.” Find Your Flame: Present day. 2022 brings one of the best years in Sonic history. Sonic is not only an icon again, but a new game comes out and wows everyone. So there’s only one question to go through anyones mind “Will the whole world know your name?” and the only thing Sonic can answer with is “I’ve been there, I’ve seen it, I’m never gonna stop believing.” After such a long time with a lack of direction, the little blue guy Found His Flame. And it was all because of the fans that stuck around through thick and thin. After all “in the end, it’s you and your friends.” One Way Dream: The future of Sonic. We only know one thing for sure. He’s going to keep on running like always.
So did the game completely skip the final bullet hell boss fight for anybody else? On my game sonic gave his rousing speech in space and then instead of the spaceship mini game the boss immediately just shot at me with that final beam attack.

the first song sounds like a fusion of killswitch engage and evanescence. Specifically these songs pop into my head while listening to it: Killswitch Engage - My Curse Evanescence - Wake Me Up Inside (the meme song) Diecast - Fade Away brings me back to 2007, wherein I would spend my days with my 12 year old ass holed up in a low income apartment trapped in Washington with an alcoholic good for nothing who I guess just expected us to rot there, doing nothing all day but playing flash games, watching south park, and making horrible videos on youtube and being brought to tears because someone called me gay in the comments and I, new to the internet, couldn't believe someone could be so mean (I didn't care that they called me gay, it was the malice in saying it that got to me). Meanwhile my mom played these types of songs on the radio because she had nothing going on either and was as trapped as I was. A horrible and traumatic year, but these "muffled emo rock" songs are nostalgic nonetheless :p
