The enemies are becoming much more " shounen" 'esque , so we might see a lot more super sonic for a while ( and maybe even an canonical appearance of Hyper).
It was emotional how those titans were trying to fight those cyber corruption and they end up being a vessel to house it. That voice must be the end that told sonic so he could free it
Knowing Eggman (and considering I've been playing sonic for a LONG time I know him well) he'll find a way to get her a physical body. Remember 800 iq mind right there.
This game honestly blew me away with the soundtrack and the gameplay despite running into some problems but however I didn't let that ruin my experience and my rating for the game would be 10/10 and the game towards the end actually makes you feel bad for eggman
One of the best thing about these fights is from a storytelling perspective Sonic isn’t necessarily stronger then the titans as Super Sonic it just puts him in even footing with them. He still beats them mostly through his own ingenuity and skills
All the bosses are just straight up EPIC. We got the nearly unstoppable titans VS super sonic, it really makes you feel SUPER. Then… we got the THE END boss… a ball.
Yeah...i think we can all agree what we really wanted was for the ball to only be its first form...then have the second form involve a co op style fight like back in Sonic Adventure 2, but with the MGR flare the rest of the Frontiers' bosses gave
36:31 okay.. so.. this is so ACCURATE to how space works! You cannot hear ANY sound in space without tech. I love how you could not hear the end explode! man this game is so good.
This is the first Sonic game I’ve ever played through to 100% and cared about the story. I played through Unleashed once as a kid and skipped all the cutscenes to get to the gameplay. This game had me INVESTED.
Ok i just have a tiny bit of criticism i just wish they made the transformation into supersonic cleaner since they made a really good job in other games such as unleashed also it would be cool to see sonic struggling with some attacks to really pass the vibe of a true boss fight besides that luv the game
Only other criticism is Sonic's lack of reaction to Sage's death(although she does come back so ig it's passable) Would have been a lil neat to at least hear him go "Sage! No!" Oh well, still a good game
Machines, gods, abstract entities... None of them will ever prevail as long as Sonic is around! You can be a robot overlord wanting to rule a robot kingdom, a god of destruction, an organism of darkness, or physical incarnations of death and nothingness, but none of them will ever be a match for Sonic. He is the guiding hand in the dark, the light of hope for everyone, the hero of his universe and beyond. No matter what happens, he will defy expectation, overcome the impossible, and triumph over fate itself using only courage, determination, charisma and skill, all in order to bring smiles to peoples' faces. And that is why I will always believe in Sonic.
Anyone else feel like Supreme was Mid as hell? Like Giganto, Wyvern, and Knight put up a good fight, had epic music the whole time, and got the energy pumping with epic camera angles and dynamic action! Supreme, on the other hand, just kinda stood there and let his turrets do all the work, swiped maybe once or twice, then used a Gun with no interesting quick time event. Just a dodge ya don’t even really get to see other than suddenly appearing at his face. Plus, if ya don’t know about hard mode, the outcome feels too abrupt and unfulfilling without getting to fight The End. Fighting The End is what makes it all worth it.
@Neptune Bad take. Supreme doesn’t even do a good job of Building up; especially since Easy/Normal skip The End entirely. I would know, I wasn’t aware of the secret ending until after. The End was still challenging, but it was a shooter that completely diverged from the typical Shonen action fighting style the rest of the game had. Supreme on any difficulty is a wet blanket that doesn’t even try to fight; and for anyone playing Easy/Normal without knowing of the secret Hardmode boss feels like a massive let-down for what’s supposed to be the game’s climax. Nowhere does the game ever explicitly say that Hard Mode is required other than VERY discretely hinting at it at the very beginning of the game where you choose your difficulty. Don’t try to defend Supreme. They got lazy.
Wait, you are telling me you dont fight The End in Easy/Normal difficulties? What the- The End isnt even that hard in the first place, why would they lock it on "Hard" Mode And here i am clearing the game multiple times on Hard mode only, oof.
@@giacomociogli7631 Yep. Absolutely. There is no fighting “The End” in Easy or Normal mode. You see the cutscene for the intro of The End, then it skips right to the victory cutscene where Sage launches Sonic; without ever actually fighting The End. Therefore, Supreme is an even more underwhelming final boss for anyone who didn’t choose hard mode.
Imagine how much better The End boss fight would've been if it were 3D and you could tag out between Sage and Super Sonic like you could in SA2 and Sonic 06
I think it was originally planned to have super sonic and possibly the other resurrected titans fighting against the end. His speech before fighting gives a hint that he was talking to the ancients, but only sage is with him.
0:01 Giganto 6:17 Wyvern 16:02 Knight 22:59 Supreme 29:48 The End 36:41 Ending 42:28 - 48:25 Post-credits scene This is the BEST Sonic game EVER!!!!!! 🤩😍👍💖💖💖💖
Over 1 year later I still can't get over how amazing the Titan fights were in Sonic Frontiers. Each fight was treated like a game's final battle. The action was fast and intense, not to mention the amazing songs to go so well with the battles.
Combining Cure Black's devastating punches and destructive power with Cure White's incredible and stylized moves and Shiny Luminous' knowledge and use of light, Super Sonic does have a Max Heart. If you guys watched Precure Max Heart, you should know those moves.
@@brickynokiaphoneline Yes, and I like the pink leaders, the Cures that have the same color as the blue blur Sonic the Hedgehog (blue Cures), the Cures that have the same color as Super Sonic (yellow Cures), and the red and purple Cures.
4:10 Why didn’t Sonic Team just do what happened when Sonic got hit by that laser when ever he gets hit by the Titan? You aren’t able see the boss’ next attack when the camera focuses on Sonic when he gets thrown back.
The only thing i did not liked about this game is some little details about the cutscenes mid battle and the dub, besides that the game looks really cool.
The true final boss was so dissapointing. When Sonic and Sage were launching into space, I thought "ohhhhh shits about to go down" but no, we get a shitty minigame instead.
Agreed. Possibly the only time in gaming history for me where the previous bosses are more exciting than the final boss. I was expecting this massive ultimate final confrontation where Super Sonic unleashes his power in a way that would have me turn into a kid again from all the fanboying.
The game turned out much better than I expected. The concept seemed overdone with BotW at this point and I thought team Sonic just wanted to cash in on the open world setting. But team Sonic made it ways that the game fitted Sonic in. Was surprised of how well it felt Open world and Sonic, which was what I thought would be the hardest part to nail (and why I expected a bacled project). Nonetheless while the stage are well designed for a Sonic open world, outside aesthetic, they all end up feeling the same. I couldn't tell what was the difference between Chronos, Ares and Chaos island outside Chaos using Rails a lot. Hell the last Island copy paste the first one. The titan fights and the lore about the ancients were the highlight of the game while it's downside imo were the Sonic stage vault who seemed to be pretty disconnected with the open world aspect and just there for nostalgia (the amount of Green hills, ugh) and the Final Boss itself despite being hyped so much was pretty lackluser as a finish. The fight felt like a weaker version of Gemerl in Sonic Advance 3. I'm pretty neutral on the character writing. Amy's writing is one of the best she had in recent times. Knucles is pretty standard but better than what Forces did still it's nice the continuity is kept with the commander in chef thing. Tails is also pretty standard overall but his questioning over being a follower or burden feels like retried, this has already been dealt with ever since frickin Adventure 1. But I guess it was needed after what Forces did to him. Sonic surprisingly does feel endearing now. It's nice to get a confirmation on how him smiling even in the worst dituation is also something that characters get weirded about. It being his ability to stay positif and believing there's always a way is cliche tho but understandable enough. Eggman is so plainly different from Forces that his alliance with Sonic despite happening many times just feels wrong. In general, I always wonder who writes him. Sometimes he feels like a true villain like Unleashed, sometimes just a goofy one like Heroes. It makes it hard to either take him seriously or trust him. his writing here tho is similar to Adventure 2, so eh, I'm fine, i guess. Sage, the new character, I get where they were going for but god does the development she gets feels so rushed. Going from Sonic antagonist to allies wasn't organic at all. I still don't understand after this, why did she wanted him dead after he didn't leave the Island? Why didn't she simply explain that Tails and co were under protection in the Cyber Space instead making all this bullshit? the writers really wanted a my enemy was my ally all along but didn't use the required brain power to put it into their writing. I still don't understand the conflict of love she had. Initially, I thought that Eggman didn't see her like someone he cares but he does, he see her as a daughter, he can't even hide it straight, literally saying I'm proud of you. So why the sadness? Also I talked about the Final boss being like Gemerl, the ending was like Shadow in Adventure 2 too. The nodes were nice but too much callbacks in the plot execution can turn into a turn off. Anyway, the game concet is nice and the execution is average, the game is also surrisingly small for a game in development for so long but prefer this over shitty production. It's better than I expected team Sonic to do. I hope tey use this concept and push further in the future like BotW is doing with BotW2.
@@jesusrodriguezcolon8315 Yeah plus Super Form can even the odds but the downside is that the form has a limit of Rings which means Fighting the Titans will be hard
@@tamarcussingleton9251 in game? I beat them all under 20 secs on hard, not counting cut scenes If u use all skills it's really easy, only last true boss but not even a fight xD
alright so i just beat the game and i did not have to fight the true enemy for me it just said the end and i just sped right through it (maybe it was because i played on switch) Edit: just found out i had to play the game on hard mode
God the bossfights in this game. I freaking adored the fight against giganto the first time I played it and was ao excited to see what was gonna come next. I WAS NOT EXPECTING WYVERN TO TOP GIGANTO BY FREAKING 20 FOOTBALL FIELDS! Wyvern alone legit tops almost every other sonic boss fight to date. The only two I can argue in good faith are better are dark gaia and supreme/the end. (Though if you wanted to make an argument for the biolizard I wouldnt stop you) Knight gets a bad rep btw. They are absolutely the worst boss in the game but they are still freakin awesome, and besides the bar Knight had to beat was so high after wyvern that almost anything would have looked bad just by comparison.
@@regiboi7709 ya honestly after repeated playthroughs my opinion on the final boss switched. I didn't hate it obviously but its definitely the weakest boss, apologies to knight lmao Im still sold on Wyvern though
as disappointing as it is to see there is no brand new form for sonic i'm still loving these bosses. all but the last one, it's a bit anticlimactic that the true final boss is a 2d shooting section rather than similar to the rest of the bosses and it kinda kills the vibe of this is supposed to be the final and probably most difficult boss of the game. but besides that I love everything else about this
The final boss seems to be kinda rushed, as some other parts of the game seem to be. After all, this is Sega we're talking about, they're infamous for rushing every single Sonic game ever since Heroes.
@@aquaponieee they've been rushing sonic games since sonic 3, which is a shame, this looked like it was going to be the first game that got it's time to be polished. But, besides the usual, I do think this game is great
For a game that was inspired by legend of zelda: breathe of the wild it certainly has better bossfights and did a better job with the bossfights better botw tbh.
I got the true final boss on my first run through of this awesome game, so when I went to the internet and they said true final boss I was like, wait, what
I wish they had a update where you can just repeat bosses mode, kinda the same as arcade mode, bc it’s easier instead of repeating the game just for your favorite titan boss and having to save and load data Just to redo the titans, it’s just annoying to do that, if that came with the 2023 update I’ll be so happy already, I could repeat my 3 favorites bosses, Wyvern, Giganto, And Knight.
He wasn't the final boss in the Adventure games (Perfect Chaos and Biolizard/Finalhazard respectively). Nor was he in Shadow the Hedgehog (Black Doom/Devil Doom), nor Sonic Heroes (Neo Metal Sonic/Metal Madness/ Metal Overlord). And since the Riders games can all be considered canon now, there was also the Babylon Guardian in Sonic Riders, Master Core: ABIS in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and Metal Sonic (again!) in Sonic Free Riders. There's actually a bunch of games where Eggman wasn't the final threat to deal with. This is just naming all the games I've personally played.
From the compilation someone performed featuring super sonic failing some quick time events against the titans: sonic’s invincibility in super form is now called into question; as the compilation showed, other than running out of Rings, that the Titans CAN kill Sonic in his Super state. Unleashed showed a Super form can be trapped and Exploited… Frontiers showed they can be killed. This worries me.
*CALLING IT NOW!* There’s a 5th secret Titan hidden off records. So off record Sage couldn’t find anything on it. I mean 4 seems like a weird number to end on. And I believe if they were to make a Shadow DLC it would be him battling this Titan with no emeralds to help him.
