I've been playing the game without looking at any spoilers or RU-vid videos so I've been going in blind. I know there's going to be a bit of a hot take but I'm about halfway through the game and so far I think one of my favorite Sonic games. I'd say it's up there in quality in terms of the adventure games

That boss battle I just fought it was epic and I like the boss battle theme as well undefeatable. Its really killing it.

Would only be better with the guy who ghost wrote it, Ronnie Radke. I’m a lifelong FIR fan and I know his writing style. Also it helps that Kellin copied his reference tracks down to a “T” (including copying Ronnie’s signature voice cracks after long notes) I am convinced he wrote at least the “Knight Song” find your flame, for those reasons above. Also would make sense since the producer for most of these songs, Tyler Smyth, is the producer for Falling in Reverse. It’s my safe assumption Kellin was just most affordable. Tbh. (Nothing wrong with that. Still sick to see warped tour vibes (my fave music) collide with my fave game)

One of the best moments in the series I've experienced in a long time. Honestly the Titan fights are up there with some of the other greatest boss fights of the series.

The stories of Sonic Lost World and Sonic Colors were way too childish. In Sonic Frontiers, there is a very good balance with humor, serious, action, drama and sadness. We feel empathy for Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Tails... The tone of the story is very mature, and It's one of the many reasons why I think Sonic Frontiers is a fantastic game. Sonic Frontiers reminds me the magic of the two Sonic Adventures, their Stories were excellent, funny, moving, sad and epic!

I love the sense of escalation in Frontiers. Each island feels like its own miniature Sonic game with the Guardians acting as boss enemies, and then the Titans are a final boss.

I think it is interesting that the Titan seems to ignore you at first, but becomes VERY aggressive when Sonic uses the chaos emeralds to go Super. I have not gobe through the entire game, yet. However, it seems that the Ancients kept the chaos emeralds contained as if it is facility straight out of the SCP universe pulling out all the stops to prevent them from escaping. • There are multiple special keys required to remove the barrier holding each emerald. • All emeralds are spread apart in unique locations on the same island. • Automated weaponry that shoots Sonic down and forces him out of his Super form and have devices that draw the emeralds to them to be contained. • Guardians have keys required to get the keys for the chaos emeralds that csn only be extracted via their destruction with each island having Guardians specifically designed to work best in the given micro-ecosystem. The Ancients were clearly afraid of the chaos emeralds, despite having very advanced so much so that even Eggman emits that it surpasses anything he has made (when no one was around). In contrast, the Echidnas treated the emeralds as something almost divine/sacred.

I also am loving it, I beat the first island kinda fast because of the hype but now I'm taking my time on the second island and this game is definitely flawed but it's a huge step in the right direction for Sonic. I hope the next game does this but with the narrative scale of Sonic Adventure, imagine how cool that would be.

The song was also written by Tyler from Dangerkids and Julian from Loveless! With guitars by MEG. Truly an insane collab, Ohtani is awesome for coordinating this! I really really hope they come back on board for future songs, I really wouldn't mind if the 4 of them were the designated "Sonic Band" for now, the way Crush 40 was in the 2000s.

Let's be real this is the only time a boss-locked Super Sonic has been satisfying to play because in pretty much every other Sonic game with a boss-locked Super Sonic all he can do is slam his face into things

@@Aisubun Disagree, most Super Sonic bosses are pretty cool. Also, Heroes did the same thing in its final boss, you have all the same moves as normal but stronger.

@@evdestroy4121 I haven't beaten heroes because quite frankly I hate that game lmao And I think sometimes the tone can carry the bosses, despite being mechanically boring I think Perfect Chaos and Final Hazard are both really good Super Sonic bosses, but most of the time I don't really get hyped. Sonic 3, Gens, Mania, Advance 1 and 2, Rush, Colors DS, and Gens 3DS really don't do anything for me. Everything else I haven't gotten to so I can't speak for them.

Would want a full on remake of the game instead of a remaster if SEGA are willing to give Sonic Team the resources for it. We’ve already had the game “remastered” in the form of Adventure DX which just made the game buggier and look worse. Imagine the entire game with modern visuals and a story with presentation as good as Frontiers, Heroes style Big the Cat gameplay instead of fishing, and a completely overhauled Chao Garden with online features n such. Also, on the tone part, I’d love the whole game to have a remastered OST with this in mind. Imagine the Perfect Chaos fight with a heavy metal remix of Open Your Heart blasting in the background, with Super Sonic combat and music synced QTEs like Frontiers.

@@Kingnorm04 Exactly! I'd rather they take the Base plot and Script from both games and fine tune them better. Hell, they could even start a new continuity (I'm not saying make it like the stupid 'Two Worlds Canon' bull****, I'm saying start from a clean slate in terms of writing) where Sonic saves Shadow from falling and goes back to Earth with the others and the two hold a valuable respect for one another like they originally did.

@@sonicfan2403 idk, I feel like the script of sa1 and 2 should just be exactly the same, just with modern day graphics being the only change mostly.
