Bro, that's a bad idea. Super Sonic is good as using in final bosses (like Unleashed). Use it in the game after end, it takes away a bit of the magic of transformation (apart from breaking the game as in Generations). Bro, eso es una mala idea. Super Sonic makes Asura beatable in like 5 seconds and makes it so easy to reach platforms and high objects so easily. I love that you can simply go back and forth with the press of a button.
You can beat it in about 15 seconds in the vanilla game. When you’re flung, you can cancel the animation with a boost. Simply boost towards the next horn immediately when the Camera is back on Sonic. Then home attack the next horn and repeat when flung again.

Was going to say, it could be an award for Extreme Mode, but I didn't realize how harsh that would be. So, maybe as an award for beating the whole game on hard, without changing the difficulty. Maybe not just the story, but all the objectives.
Extreme mode ain’t harsh, I beat the whole game with it and it was ez. Only died 5 times throughout the whole game. If you can’t handle it, then skill issue, no offence
@@SunSh1neFNExtreme Mode is way easier when you know stomping after getting hit cancels the damage you take. It really makes the whole "1 Hit Kill" thing in Extreme useless. You just need to remember and time it properly and you could get through the game without dying.
@@SunSh1neFNEXACTLY and the titan bosses are no different when your beating supreme with just level 1 stats Im 100% sure whoever got to extreme mode, has done the game only on 1 stats Besides, just learn the skips to the game. And then it's 2,000,000 times easier
Nah, not really. The only truly painful tasks honestly is chaos island's 4th emerald (because of course it's the damn 4th chaos emerald), most of ares island's enemies *optional, And the battle with Supreme. Outside of that a lot of the stuff is the same

I was really hoping that once you complete the story for the island you’d get Super Sonic until you progressed to the next island. It would have made finding tokens easier, though it would break a lot of platforming challenges lok
If they were to add this to the next update I think there’d need to be some tweaks. More advanced flight controls, on land gameplay, combat balancing, etc. I think funnily enough, the LEGO games are a really good example of how to do flying characters in video games. The unlock requirements should also be pretty strict. If players are able to break the game right after they beat it, then that kinda lessens all of the challenges. Maybe as a new 100% bonus or Extreme Mode/New Game + completion? It’s definitely not ready for the vanilla game based purely off this mod
Super sonic would make photo mode crazy but he'd also completely break speedruns, it wouldnt even be fair anymore 💀 But super sonic would probably be unlocked after you completed the old and new story

This is why all the 5 islands should have been combined so you can travel to any of them without having to deal with a loading screen. Would make roaming around them as Super Sonic even more enjoyable.
I personally feel that this is what the Wyvern titan battle should have played like, where you have more freedom to fly and not have it be mostly automated
This how you make a great game include fun. The developers now got the point and did a splendid set of updates. Sonic Frontiers is becoming one of the best Sonic games ever made. If this continues in such direction, this franchise will enjoy a great success. Two parties will be happy. The developers will be printing money while the players will be having fun with a great product. NOW THAT is business.
Tbh this was the thing that we wish we could do once we completed the game, like fr it's kinda disappointing that we can't even turn super Sonic when we want to especially when we have all the chaos emeralds after completing the game, its a missed opportunity but i hope its in the future updates
I feel the same way. Don't get me wrong I love that they made the Emeralds and Super Sonic relevant and impactful to the ploy again but they made me collect the Emeralds three times let me transform at will lmao.
@@kannakamui2334 they should make it like when you get all 7 chaos emeralds and defeated the boss on whatever island you're on you get to turn into super sonic on that island where you got all 7 chaos emeralds and defeated the boss, I think that would be a pretty good idea in my opinion honestly.
i think if they going to make you able to toggle super sonic off and onto the free roam, they might make the ring decrease speed faster, because its op, also automaticly make you go off to normal when 100 ring blow.
If they added Super Sonic, they wouldn’t even have to add flying. I remember Sonic 3 (with Knuckles) Super Sonic didn’t fly, you could jump really high, and even double jump (I think). Even Sonic Riders had a Super Sonic “board” which you just hovered around at top speed. It would be fun and cool to explore and finish out 100%ing the game if you could go this fast. I mean, without the flying. Maybe if it was like Tails, where you could just boost-fly for a bit. That way your could still do all of the puzzles and stuff.
This took way too long to be a thing, shame it's not an official implementation though but I'd bet they didn't make S.Sonic unlockable in the open zone areas is because everyone would do exactly what I will do as well... Fly to the very bounds of everything or go and see how far I can fly until the game ruins itself lol.
They really should implement free roam Super Sonic as a Frontiers going away gift after the DLC/Updates are done, essentially giving the Players that stuck around God Mode and saying have fun and break everything.
Anyone saying theres no reason for Free roam super sonic forgets 1 thing, Pre titan Kronos and Ares Islands, By Giving us super sonic, the devs will have to patch out the Exploits to reach those titans Early, which would piss off the Speedrunner Communitys to give the casual players what they want The initially Unreachable areas of Chaos and Oranos Islands would have also been an Issue of Sequence breaking if they didnt already have invisible walls around them before being unlocked
This is super (pun intended) cool, and as i much as i want to free roam as super sonic, i struggle to find a story reason as to why you'd be able to do this
As much as I love the boss songs, I do hope if we get free roam super sonic we can choose what songs we listen to when we are super, and that there’s an animation

For everyone wondering why Super sonic is not toggleable. . . reason is simple. No rewards after beating game, if idk Emeralds would be replaced by som sort of "Heart of Titan" then sure, Sonic still holds all chaos emeralds and can turn into super sonic, makes sense. But if even in NG+ he needs to collect them, then logically he cant transform into super sonic.

I feel like being floating and walking should be improved, like on springs and rains normal physics works, so maybe being able to toggle either flying or walking would make this so much better

Not for nothing i been saying for the last update as a throwback and just personally as what actually needs to happen is we should be able to turn into super sonic in the open world it only makes sense.
This mod only convinces me why this is the one time where Super Sonic can be excluded from this Sonic game. This game doesn't have the right content to make Super Sonic fun to use/play as. Flying around the Open Zones isn't fun, it's actually boring. Notice how Super Sonic in previous games shared the same level design as Sonic (2D and 3D); he was restricted to that. In Frontiers with these mods, he isn't. The best thing to do for SS is omitting his fly ability (which also then kinda defeats the purpose of having SS in a Open Zone game), or maybe some drastic punishment like massive ring consumption or something. Otherwise, a sequel is going to have to figure out how to make SS fun to play in this type of game.
When flying, make boost consumption faster, or have a separate flying meter. There, I solved it. I’m a genius (sarcastic) You could also just drastically increase the speed cap for super sonic and make all his moves overpowered (spin dash and boost especially) without flight, and just give his air boost a hover ability or something.
@@TrueAfricanHero No it doesn't. You can't expect every single Sonic mechanic known to man to work well in any Sonic game and any formula it uses. As I've said though, making Super Sonic playable here is feasible. A lot of people will infact enjoy that, but the game was clearly not designed with that in mind, *so it won't be as fun as it could* if this were a different game. Also Super Sonic is literally god level. In general it has to be hard balancing that at all, especially in an OZ platformer. I mean, by concept SS is suppose to be OP, so that should be understood as well, but flying around in the OZ in particular will be boring for the reason explained earlier.
@@windy3935 Super Sonic is literally Sonic with invincibility and some better stats, my guy. Even now, they’ve added sliders that makes Sonic pretty broken already. You sound stupid. On top of that, he’s almost been a power up you have to go out your way to earn. Make as many excuse as you want, it’s on them to make it work.
@@TrueAfricanHero NO, it doesn't.. it would be *extremely* boring to fly around the islands and not EXPLORE them the normal way, it's already bad enough that the game is TOO easy, Super Sonic would just make the game *pathetically* easy (unless you have a level 1 Sonic).
This would make traversal so much cb easier, and the best part, you can’t abuse it to speedrun the story, cause you have to get to the titan to get the final emerald
