@@pinguin4898 He meant OCs as in "fan-made characters" (unofficial). Also, not every fan game or even official Sonic games brought a new character to the series, let alone one you can play as.

OCs got a bad rep because of things like the all-mighty Coldsteel and the countless "edgy" and/or lazy recolors of official characters passed as Original characters but when done right, i don't see much of a problem with them.

Yeah, pretty much. I wish he could use the gun to shoot enemies like he can in SRB2.

I like the jump a lot it can be both used aggressively and as a mobility tool now imagine if fang was like amy where you have to use your gun to deal damage and otherwise you are incapable of dealing damage

@@MariusUrucu Nope, it's on the SRB2 forums. The SRB2 Team had a level design contest that's had a bunch of stages compiled into one pack to play through, and you can vote for whichever stage was your favorite on their forums. Here's the thread for it if you're interested, there's a few neat stages in it, there's one that even plays like Spyro. mb.srb2.org/showthread.php?t=49098

You could argue that, but other stats such as jump height, elemental shields (which only Sonic can use), acceleration (Knuckles and Tunnel have slower acceleration), top speed, etc. can go a long way to differentiate each character and not make Sonic feel useless.

That statment is false. Unless you are just talking about this game but Sonic has the most abilities compared to every other character in ever classic game. Sonic has 3 active abilities being Super Speel out make him get to top speed instantly without protection, Drop Dash a dash as soon as he hits the ground after jumping keeping his speed and momentum and Insta Shield which gives him an extra hit, invincibility frames for one second and allows him to hit spiked or electrifying enemies. His passive abilities are the fact that he can jump higher than everyone, is faster than them having the highest top speed and can utilise special abilites granted from the elemental shields when no one else can. So he isn’t a redundant character when pur side by side with others. Technically tails is the worst but his flight does grant him boosted exploration potential and make the game easier since u can skip shit so it depends on how you want to play

@@MariusUrucu yes but im talking about this game in question. It is not noticeable that sonic gains more acceleration than the other characters. This gameplay only shows dropdash and spindash so... I really didn't see basic differences between the characters (sonic may have more acceleration but I didn't notice...) and as I said what differentiates them is the distinct abilities that each one has making sonic be irrelevant since everyone is fast and has even better skills for exploration. which is a mistake because sonic should be the fastest and it doesnt happen here

@@dreamcastdazia4753 in my comment I referred to the video game and how the basic structure of each character is the same, differentiating them by the different skills that each one has.Sonic in the game only has the dropdash that differentiates him from the others (as in the comment above he can have greater acceleration than the others, but I didn’t realize that...) which is a different skill. So, what differentiates each one is the skill making sonic irrelevant since he should be the fastest
