@@michaelnutt8755 Yes you are, because that's just how the game is actually. It just gets overhated. Plus, that footage, there were a lot of jumpcuts since the stages are long.
this is one of the most heartwarming credits sequence I've seen for a game. a trip down memory lane, some rough patches throughout the journey, but then make it out on top at the end. and that happy birthday sonic at the end was really heartwarming knowing that despite some rough patches, there's still a devoted fanbase who loves and still supports the series.
@Student: Jordan Richard Crisis City has the most iconic moments and looks the most unique, but that stage is not the best stage. Kingdom Valley from Sonic 06 is so good and the most functional stage, (probably because it was polished for the demo). I think Kingdom Valley has some of the best level design in the series.
This is honestly one of the only times I've actually willingly sat through credits because of how heartwarming it is and how much he and the franchise has grown
sonic unleashed is my first modern sonic game the second one is sonic heroes. the sonic heroes part made me cry on the inside because its my fav sonic game :,)

To me Sonic running up the collapsing tower in Sky Sanctuary is one of the most influential scenes in my opinion. The place is literally falling apart and Sonic is just going without stopping. This shows that no matter what's going on just keep going and you will prevail!

i mean 06 have so many many many Problems that i Will not Call the game Underated. Clip from 7:22-7:32: The "Happy Birthday Sonic, WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" shoutout was taken in three different events. They're all from Summer Of Sonic 2011 on June 25th for Europe, Sonic Boom 2011 on June 8th for North America, and apparently an event in Joypolis for Tokyo in Asia, to put it in the game itself. Coincidentally, Sega did not put the three recorded shouts together at the same time. They only mixed the three cheers to look like this you're hearing right now. Luckily, i put them all and i also put all of the cheering sound effects too look like the crowd was cheering for Sonic. If Sonic Generations 2 came out in 2026, then the Happy Birthday Sonic shoutout will be put the same as SG1, but with other conventions.

@@nanash_2019 Correct Sonic Heroes is from the software era I think or a different era? Software referring to SEGA switching from making consoles to making games for other consoles like Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. I’m just gonna call it the Renderware era because both that one and Shadow the Hedgehog both use the same game engine.
Sonic and knuckles is still sonic 3 just another part of it At the time they did not want to show it due to legal reasons since that’s when speculations about MJ working on S3 started

@Michael Nutt actually they used the PS3 version, I would know since I own that version, it’s more stable(less glitches than Xbox 360) and has issues with frame rate and slowdown.

Little did we know, the credits to this game would also be the credits to Sonic himself. His attitude, his spirit, his good games. Sonic Generations is the last, truly good Sonic game. Maybe forever. What a game to go out on.
@@orlandofurioso7329 Lost World's problem isn't with the gameplay. (I liked the mario galaxy formula, it works pretty well) its the way too tryhard and unfunny story and Deadly Six' existence. Sega already has Eggman so why do they even need a Bowser wannabe that is Zavok?
5:23 Not gonna lie. My most memorable and favorite sonic game ever, even the werehog stages, the only times I didn't like the were how was near the end of the game but overall best sonic game in my opinion, next to colors
This makes me tear up every time i see it. Life has been rough but i've alway found joy in the sonic franchise and seeing it celebrated in such a loving and caring way makes it feel personal. It felt addressed to us fans.
The franchise could of ended here and it would of been the perfect finale. Honestly it's kinda sad the terrible sonic games we've gotten for the past decade. Aleast Sonic Froniters and upcoming Superstars has shown some hope to the franchise.
Until this day i appreciate SEGA still acknowledges 06's existence even if it was a total disaster. I'm really glad the game was included to Generations :D
