whats wrong with races? both characters are entirely based around speed. the entire point of their rivalry is to see who lives up most to the name of "Sonic"
@@kaktismayne true. But the way Sonic always handles bosses with fighting. I know Metal was the boss that Sonic raced agains the first time, but to me, the old fashion way is fighting.
@@cappuccino42 The metal Sonic boss takes place in stardust speedway from sonic CD, specifically the bad future, which means that sonic never went into the past to destroy the robot generator.

this might be a bit of a stretch but i wonder if the way sonic just floats in the air at the end is a reference to that one japanese sonic cd commercial where metal and sonic are both floating in the air fighting
When I played Sonic Generations, I found a Glitch where when Metal Sonic does his second Attack before he actually does it you can jump and bonk him thus skipping that attack.
