The final boss theme is my favorite final boss theme of Sonic and one of my all time favorite songs in video games. It's epic, triumphant, intense and it's just an amazing song. Nega Wisp Armor Phase 2 is the only final boss theme that can rival it, which says a lot considering how good that song is.
The only reasons that I hate this boss is because of the default music and sonic's friends spamming you with "Itlookalikeahomingshotitlookslikeahomingshotitlookslikeahomingshot"
Okay, this needs to be said. When has Shadow EVER let Sonic to do all of the work? Never when he's able to help. The Sonic team's forgetting it's 3D fans, man...

I think in a non-canon source they said it was mephiles that slipped through time before the solaris project was wiped from existence. Mephiles probably lost his own mind, making him to be controlled by eggman, either that, or he did still think. However would have backstabbed Eggman *after* he defeats Sonic and his friends.
I feel like if the time eater and Solaris both came to earth it’d go something like this Solaris would destroy most of existence and then the time eater would scoff up what’s left
