@@visionxry you know how many mods there was being put out there since release of the game? Have you ever watched cobi456? And the game is capable of being replayed a lot. I think that was more so of the purpose of the game than story and other stuff in it. For some of the more popular stages in past sonic games came into this one and probably holds tons of nostalgia for most people(also me watching tons of gameplay of sonic the hedgehog.) This game is probably my fav sonic game cause of great gameplay and whenever I play this game it feels really nice and joyful to me, but thats just what I think of gens
My theory on why the level design is different is because we are just running in different parts of spagonia! Like there is probably the original stage there except we are going a different route to get to these areas. The aqueduct is different because its either the aqueduct on the other side of the city or they finished the aqueduct from the original sonic unleashed
Generation stages have cooler backgrounds and this one made u feel like u are more In The city but sacrifice some speed for difficulty since Generations is just the easier game and less slows u down .
Tbh the Generations version was a little bit of a let down for me when I first played it imo. It's not as fun to speedrun and learn all the different and paths like the Unleashed version. It just feels like it has less character. The updated visuals and colors are gorgeous though.
The generations version has a lot more obstacles than the unleashed version(makes sense, since it’s the penultimate stage, still f*cking hate the axes)
I mean rooftop run is a personal favorite of mine but I like the generations rooftop run music better the unleashed version is just a guitar playing the same riff over and over. If they added that music with the unleashed stage and Spagonia actually had a celebration at the time of unleashed it would be so cool.
The original level of unlashed is huge and gives you more freedom when running But in generations they are stopping you all the time and they don't give you that freedom to run :/
Don't get me wrong, but I love Generations one so much, it looks more vibrant and cool. And the running cessions it's so amazing, specially in 6:37, it's so good
That intro should have ended when the guy hit the camera woth the staff ten seconds in. (Don't skip this just for the sake of my comment people skip the intro a ton, it kinda makes the situation self explanatory at this point.) But apart from that Unleashed is very much superior. It has a lot of speed and reaction based gameplay (the whole point of the boost formula) and the 2D sections don't over stay their welcome! The clock tower is one of the more memorable bits of the stage for me, and so is that final chase at the end. Generations is just a greatest hits album because what it does is make you boost at the beginning to hit a wall and wake around, platform, then continue boosting into a 2D section to do a little slow platforming to lead into a gap you need to homing attack in leading to a copy paste of the origonal level. Rinse and repeat untill you reach the fountain to drift around, quick stepping alley, and the balcony drift. All leading to a repeat of the intro, crash into a wall to attack enemys walk around, homing attack gap, and then you go into an inferior and shorter final chase at the end. (Still a fun level tho and I get Whatley they made you stop to attack enemies. It's a reference to the werehog stages and I font blame them for putting that there. Still tho it's half as long and it feels like a cop out. The 2D section mideay hroughthe level is a neadlt little bit tho I will say, reminds me of the extra acts. Fun games all around can't wait for frontiers.
True! Stay tuned Cuz i will be reveling something huge this month!! I do think unleashed is a better game in terms of daytime stages and how sonic represents himself
I'd enjoy the generations stage more if it were longer and didnt constantly slow you down for that boring 2d platforming segment i was always against the idea of slowing down to do platforming which is why i prefer unleashed's level design you are mostly dashing through the stage at fast speeds including the 2d sections sure they do have some platforming but they are quite short compared to generations i personally think unleashed is the better game
Exactly. Less slow down and less annoying 2d. Also the 2d parts are easier and still made to speed through. Generations is of the normal size of other sonic games but there is way too much slow down in the 2d section. Personally I hated that cuz we already literally get classic sonic in Generations so modern sonic shouldn't even have any in that game ... the visuals is great but the slight speed down and difficulty spike is not cool.
I always thought unleashed looked kinda grimy i think its a combination of the blur (both motion blur and depth of field) the less vibrant colours and how much clouds and fog it had in the levels empire city is imo the worst level visually becase of that
You probably dont notice it when you atually playing the stage but the clocktower is comically large watch ths boundry break video on generations and you'll see what i mean
Imho Unleashed Rooftop run has the best level layout, BUT Generations has the absolute best remix of the music! That violin solo at 6:50-7:11, perfection to my ears ❤️🔥💯
Generations interrupts its stages too often compared to unleashed. If they want me to slow down and platform give me sonic adventure 3 or even better dont constantly slow me down.
Rank B, weak! Just kidding kkkk I prefer Sonic unleashed he is much better, even in the race he seems determined to reach the end of the phase, already in generations he runs as if it were another ordinary day
just so you know, the reason we're all disliking your video is because we clicked it expecting a side by side comparison and didnt get that, so you lied in your thumnbail.
