Yeah, but when you think about it, that's always been the case; at least here in the USA, honestly. The general public are just way more aware of it now because you can't hide anything forever. This sort of thing (aka the intense often lethal racism in the world or at least in the USA by police) having already been such a disgustingly common occurrence (shouldn't happen at all honestly which is the whole point) is the reason why this was put in the video. Referencing society in such for an imagery skit. Plus it could be a reference to Shadow having always been in the previous game (SA2B) referred to as "that black hedgehog", and Omega does canonically try to fight Shadow in the beginning of the Team Dark story since he mistakes him for one of Eggman's robots (on account of Eggman having like weirdly stasis..ly..? healed him after his honestly near death experience at the end of SA2B). I ended up rambling a lot but yeah.
Reminds me of old newgrounds era sonic fan animations, and the sorts collections, fan content we used to get in the 2000s, so I like that because those are some f my fvorite videos of all time

Sonic and shadow and tails are the only ones who were normal this whole time without doing something weird or stupid and amy shot appeared in one second and then disappeared
