Sonic has the after effect and he has the white glow from hyper sonic or it could be a reference to CD.. The text "Hyper" was found from dataminers. I've never understood how these people can make ginormous levels with great graphics be so fast. There's so much to miss and you can rarely appreciate the graphics and design!

Can we start having more 2D Sonic games again? This game was too beautiful for words. All the callbacks to the old games gave me chills.

The disappointing thing about Super Tails is the lack of Attack Flickies, and that Super Knuckles doesn't rattle the screen on contact with surfaces after gliding.

So basically Sonic's the only one with a real transformation, everyon else just glows.

So while Sonic actually goes super and gold, everyone else just looks like they turned into their shiny pokemon counterpart. Lol

I'm disappointed with Tails super form. I expected him to have flicky birds circling him. Edit: I thought it was Super Tails that had flickies. In Sonic 3 and Knuckles it was called Super Tails. I didn't even know tails had a Hyper Form.

When i first play "Sonic & Tails" i always wanted to know how to get this "super" form (i was little then and didn't know that i need to collect 7 chaos emeralds...) But when i returned to this game and looked some guides i understand how OP it was! (But still can die in this form...)

There needs to be a mod where it changes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about all the Super Forms (the ones that don’t get their own special sprites) and gives them special, custom sprites.

I am SO GLAD that the Super forms have their own dedicated theme in this game. That's one thing Sonic 2 always had over 3&K, and I always hated that 3&K just used the regular Invincibility theme instead. 😩

Okay, so for those upset about Sonic being the only one with a "true" Super Form in this, that's not true. Sonic is the only one with a drastic change upon entering his Super Form. If we think about it from a lore sense(as little lore there is in the Classic Sonic era/Mania Sonic's world) this can be explained as he's the one "shown" in the Angel Island murals in Hidden Palace Zone(or as Tikal's mantra could imply, one of the controllers that unifies the 7 Chaos) and thus reacts in a special way to the Emeralds, giving our blue hedgehog a special Super form. Knuckles grew up near the Master Emerald(Another controller as it can nullify the 7 Chaos) and thus likely was bathed in so much Chaos Energy that the Chaos Emeralds do not effect him enough for a change in appearance like Sonic, thus making him shift between red and pink. The Super Emeralds however do have enough power to give the full appearance change, hence Hype Knuckles being full pink. As for Tails, Mighty, and Ray, they are not attuned to Chaos energy in the same way Sonic and Knuckles are, thus they, depending on the timeline, are not effected by the Chaos Emeralds. In the timeline of Modern Sonic, only the Super Emeralds gave Tails a Chaos energy powered form, which was dubbed Super Tails despite more accurately being a Hyper Form, which is what's happening in Mania/Classic Sonic's timeline where Tails is becoming more attuned to the Emeralds, causing the start of a proper Chaos Emeralds Super form in which is indicated by the mild color change and the powers of a Super form. Modern Tails could only be effected by Chaos Energy via Super Sonic amplifying it and giving it to him, as seen in Sonic Heroes. For Mighty and Ray, they may be in a similar boat though there's not much to go on there. That being said, whether this holds up depends on the next entry in the Mania/Classic Sonic timeline. I did not cover Metal Sonic as he does not take a Super form but takes a form powered by the Phantom Ruby. If anything, Metal Sonic's Super Form is seen in Sonic Heroes as the final boss though it's not directly powered by Chaos energy.
