I'm starting to really hate the wisps because they keeping returning game after game after game It's really they have been used for a decade and there getting boring. We haven't had playable characters in year I miss having playable playable characters before the stupid wisp replaced them. Happy Sonic turned into Super Sonic to kill that Annoying Yacker Wisp.

@Xavior Sonic does have a point in saying that wisps basically replace all need for the other characters from a gameplay perspective, not too mention they're even worst game-design wise since they're powers are incredibly limited and you can only use them for a few seconds. Why would I want to play as these generic cutesy toy-sellouts when I can play as some the most recognizable faces in the franchise who actually have a lot of worth and personality?

1:28 He's not wrong. No other characters have been playable in a REAL Sonic game since Black Knight (Not including Mania and Boom). And that was just AU versions of them. Really hoping Frontiers isn't another solo game. I miss playable Knuckles on main games.

And in the same way, yes, in SA1 I fight hand to hand, but he was not alone (canonically speaking), he was with sonic, except for the last part when he faces Eggman, but think about the situation, Tails had never seen him die to so many people and be alone...

It does makes sense for them to be in Sonic Colors Ultimate but they've already been in so many games already especially the normal wisps that look like Yacker.

The only games i dont understand why the wisps were in is forces and lost world. Generations’wisps were only in the Planet Wisp/Tropical Resort stage: the sonic colors stages, and TSR had a sonic colors track so it makes some sense to have the wisps in TSR.

2:40 - 2:52 _Sonic Adventure_ had a _Rashomon_ style of storytelling where we see the same events in each 6 characters' point of view. So technically Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles fought Chaos 4 together . . .in other words, Tails had some help. I understand the frustration people had towards how Tails was in _Sonic Forces_ , if only the game *showed* us how & why Tails "lost it" or lost contact with the others and became such a hopeless recluse. But even if he wasn't, Phantom Ruby allusion or not, he wouldn't of stood a chance against Chaos 0; according to _Sonic Adventure 2: Battle_ 's manual where it states that even his base form, Chaos is said to have immeasurable powers. Nooooo we like using the Wisps for everything. I mean really who would want to play as multiple characters in a franchise that had multiple playable characters pretty much since the second game in the series.

@@cyan57 Tails and Knuckle's gameplay were fine in Adventure 1, Knuckle's gets crap in Adventure 2 for how backwards they handled the hints system and Tails wasn't even meant to be playable at all SA2, but due to backlash, they added him last minute as an Eggman clone.

In the DS version of colors, there are cutscenes where Sonic and Tails meet each of the Wisps. I wish the Wii version did it too with more dynamic cutscenes and maybe Sonic actually using the ability in an absolute fail.

In defense of the Wisps Sonic probably didn’t notice that he is in a Colors remaster, so really, I don’t he should really remember all of the shenanigans that the wisps caused. He still gave a good point, just not in the context of Colors Ultimate.

I ok so everyone complains about tails in Sonic forces but it feels like I'm the only one who remembers him pussing out in front of dark Gaia monsters and chaos can friggin one shot Emeril in sonic battle without his green meeter full and sonic needed the power of the master emerald to beat Emeril in that game can we put that in perspective.
