I was confused on why his body was looked more animalistic compared to the other Metarex since their species are plant based, but then I realized he may be based on a Red Chenille plant. Unless the makers of the game forgot about that and just made him an animal.
I personally don't and cant condone a lot of actions the Devs have made when it comes to the game, but at the very least there's a couple things I liked from it. For Starters, This Boss theme featuring Bentley Jones is a banger.
“This world has already proven unworthy, your friend desired to change it, but his dreams die along with him, and you too will not change anything” “Chris always was a dreamer, but he did change the world, who are you to judge the world you gave up on” now that’s a good comeback from sonic
IKR especially the shadow voice actor, the one who voiced sonic, tails and exiled it’s ok, eggman sounds crusty but still ok sorta, the shdow voice actor is just no
@@timmywoo3572 idk Sonic Sounds okay i think. Defnitely not perfect but you can hear the faint similarity to how Jason Griffith sounded like so personally i think Sonic just about barely passes. Tails and Exiled are also fine and Shadow...well heres the thing similarily to Sonic you can notice how Shadow VA gets fairly close to how Shadow talks like in Adventure 2 and Shadow The Hedgehog, but with clearly hearable Russian accent which is a bit too thick.
I like how Phase 1’s part of the song is from The Exiled’s point of view. It showcases his desire to return home and how he doesn’t care what he has to do to do it. Then Phase 2 is from Super Sonic’s and how he can feel “The Weight of the World” on his shoulders but is determined to save everyone.
@@corphish129 "the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group" In this case: all life on the planet. So mass genocide if you will.
@@corphish129 It’s the mass murder with the I’m of destroying a certain people. I assume he doesn’t see any cares if he does it or not, but it’s still mass murder!
this sequence goes soo hard 2:11 Its always tragic to see the true and sincere potential of a project spill through otherwise messy and broken final product
This boss fight alone is so cheesey yet epic at the same time....I kinda miss when Sonic was more like this in official games. (Note I'm only judging this by this boss fight alone! so idk how bad the rest of the game is in comparison). In general, I think I just miss the era of Sonic that had Jason Griffith playing him and I think the fact that (although very stilited in places) this VA hear does a good job sounding super similar to him and it just gives this a kinda nostalgic vibe to when I was at the peak of my love for Sonic. I know that era pretty much only has games the fandom generally hates besides maybe the day stages from Unleashed- but thats when I actually found the series so I didn't have an attachment to any 2d games. Heck by the time I was even born Adventure 1 was out in Japan already!
I played the game fully and overall it's not bad. I'd say it's as cheesy and janky as Sonic Adventure 2. In Sonic stages there's multiple routes that can be taken and there's several segments where you could just constantly chain moves to keeps the flow of speed which I love very much. The Plane segments were "ok" the last plane level is incredibly unfair with constant instadeaths. The Shadow Levels are really cool, much like Sonic's you could chain to keep a pace but he has different abilities to focus more on combat, Chaos Control is your best friend if managed well.THE BOSS FIGHTS! Loved every single one of them because like this final one, the arena based battles were always my favorite since it allows focus on the bosses. The one boss fight with Eggman was actually quite challenging which is refreshing for me, since most other boss fights in the entire franchise are very easy in comparison. Overall, this game really feels like a connection between the Sonic Adventure Era and the Modern Era. Both styles melded together with obviously some jank (from what do you expect from a Sonic Adventure gameplay) that will rub people the wrong way. In the end, this might be the Sonic 06' of fangames, but at least it's "Better" than Sonic 06 that's free to download and play. One Last Note: Just don't support the Dev's patreon. There's this controversy going around about how they tried to make money off of this game which is probably illegal. Locking beta builds behind a paywall which is really cringe. Fangames should be made out of passion, not greed. On that note, if you want to support the devs for them to make their own game, go ahead.
@@CatKingAlexanderAllen And you can? Tell me how many times it took you to beat The Exiled. I understand Final Bosses need to be a challenge, but this is just too far. It’s like on the level of Dark Souls.
@@ShockInazuma whoever said I even played the game? I literally just answered a statement that seemed related to confusion and it seems you're trying to attack me over the game. You good?
@@CatKingAlexanderAllen First, I’m not attacking you. There is a difference between asking a question and attacking. Second, you can’t really say he's bad if you haven’t even played the game. That’s just borderline ironic and probably ignorant or delusional.
Sonic: Chris Always Was a Dreamer, But HE DID CHANGE THE WORLD🌍! WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE THE WORLD YOU GAVE UP ON!!!!!!😡😡😡😡💎💎💎💎💎💎💎 (Transform To SUPER SONIC) NOW I SHOW YOU🖐✊⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ Me: Why Is Always So FREAKING BEAUTIFUL WORLD To RISE Up ON!!!
This final battle is just epic as heck! i mean, it's just so amazing how they managed to make this fight so well done, it feels like fighting a boss of Dark Souls. This is how the final boss of Sonic Frontiers should be like! A battle where Super Sonic fights against the villain in a very intense duel where he'll have to use all of his super powers to beat the villain!
Yes I have to agree on that since most games just makes sonic god mode, though I like how difficult the boss is to add intensity, they should add a skill issue. Version for people less skilled
@@timmywoo3572 ‘Skill issue mode’ the hell are you talking about? This bossfight was legitimately unfair to a lot of people, it’s not even like a fun difficulty either.
@@SuperShadowify I mean I get it the creators are shitty people but i feel like you're letting your emotions get in the way here lol. I mean the only thing that's crappy is Shadow voice actor. That legit sounds awful, like seriously what the fuck were they thinking
@@darkmetal2412 No like, it’s not even about that. The level design, unfair bosses, the voice acting, I understand it’s the Infinity Engine and I love that Engine, but dear god it’s actually miserable to play it. It feels as if there’s a lack of I-Frames too. If they didn’t make it so you lost energy during this final boss, it wouldn’t be such a pain to beat. This is harder than it has any right to be.
i remember wondering who the final boss was going to be for this game i was happy to find out it was a metarex i was even more happy that it concluded the game well(i was worried it wouldn;t) and intop of that i got an S rank with 2 fps beautiful game
He was probably using a small amount of chaos energy he absorbed that's logical and canon or not this game is better then most what sega made in the past
I must say, I know the makers of this game have gotten into controversy, the game is flawed, very flawed, but credit where it's due, the song slaps. I like the song weight of the world, it has a titan theme feel to it. Also, I do like Exiled's motivation, that he went against Dark Oak, got exiled, and now just wants to just go home but is willing to do bad things to get there.
Mario: Stop this nightmare! This isn't what Joker's nightmare about! Superman (Regime): He is Dead! And so as my family! Superman (Regime): Don't you get?! These hero's are proud of me! Mario: They are brainwashed because you!
this boss is actually unfair as hell. You cant tell how he's gonna attack you, and when he does, you have to recollect all of your energy. And you can barely even escape the attacks. sorry i just really hate this boss
The game in general is really good, once you'll stop looking at mostly fabricated controversy and give the game itself justice. It sure has it's problems, but it still is a quite enjoyable game - you just need to treat it fairly.
No, its just a Sonic X fanfic trying to be deep. The only thing I kinda get is that Chris Thorndyke after season 3 had 15 years left to live due to going to Sonic's dimension and I guess he befriended The Exiled even though the metarex were all evil and wanted nothing more than genocide, i don't get the story after that.
@@timothyfinn3619this story was one of the redeemable things about it. Exiled isn't actually evil and was willing to never go home again and help make the earth better but Chris Thorndike died before he could make an imapct. He then thought to himself why should never see my family/people again to save a group of people who don't want to be saved. It sounds plausible even if what he's doing is wrong. Don't let RU-vidrs sh*tting on the game dictate your opinion. It's fine to not like the game or the creators but saying this has a bad story is just jumping on the hate train.
That's entirely true but how does this fact affect your gameplay experience with Omens? You can still enjoy the game while hating the devs. That's kinda where i am. Game itself is fine. Devs are far from it but just because i play their game doesn't mean i support them in any way.
His body was slowly dying after being transported back home, and he only had 15 or do years left to live. But if you recall from S3 of Sonic X, time moves faster in the human world than it does in Sonic's, so by the time he was finally able to merge the worlds, he didn't have much time left. It was around that time that he came into contact with Exiled, who took a genuine liking to Chris' ideologies (since, unlike the rest of his people, he never had a lust for power or domination).
bro I made this boss in 2 minutes and 43 seconds and 189 thousandths of seconds it gave rank S I'll propose you beat my record >:) I have prints if you want to send them to your social network >:)) my record is very good hehe
This fight is nothing short of sick. After the garbage sonic team has put out since adventure 2 with a couple good entries it’s an insult to call this a fan game. The best part about the bio lizard fight besides being super sonic and shadow was how they had the rest of the characters hyping you up over the radio playing over an epic song. This is what we’ve been missing. Sonic is a straight up bad ass talking s**t throughout the fight. The arena being so big, it’s just fun to dodge Exiled’s attacks speeding around. Then they have the omens in the background. Chef’s kiss.
I'll give this game one thing, the boss music is epic. I'll admit, I'm Here and I'm with you is a good song, but this, combined with the background with the different omens just really fits the atmosphere that its actually the end of the world, that you have to stand up and be strong to take down the great evil in front of you.
