*Note* : I used a mod to play with the MJ OST, unfortunately Sonic Origins still uses the muffled soundtracks. This also counts for the sharp pixels. *Update* : The game now received an update, which finally removed the blurry filter for all games.
GOD DAMNIT. That was honestly the only thing I wanted them to fix and they didn’t. They literally have the actual Beta Tracks for Sonic 3 that they could have used that sound great, but they still kept the awful midis. I cannot believe it.
This seems strange, in S3&K, when Amy got all of the Chaos Emeralds, the text didn't say "Now Amy Can Be Super Amy" but Amy can still transformed somehow, until later when Amy got all of the Super Emeralds, that same text from before then appears. 🤔
An update that needs to be fixed. When Amy got all the Chaos Emerals in Sonic 2 and 3 they didn’t acknowledge the fact to tell us that Amy can now go super.
When you completed Amy without the Chaos Emeralds because when you've collected the seven Chaos Emerdalds after completing Sonic 3 & Knuckles with her, the text will say "Now Amy Can Go To Hidden Palace" when you almost all seven Chaos Emeralds in Mushroom Hill Zone.
You know what got me about the chase scenes mainly with Sonic is that he is supposed to be the fastest hedgehog alive, but he never catches up with Eggman before he jumps into his creations!
I wish the file selection could add 4 more slots. 1. Amy + Tails with the Super Emeralds. 2. Amy with the Super Emeralds. 3. Amy + Tails with the Chaos Emeralds. 4. Amy with the Chaos Emeralds.
You can just remove the character alone ones. But even with that there's not enough slots to have anyone alone except for tails unless they add more slots
@@dvader518 effort??? She's literally just a worse Sonic. Also, why would Amy be the only one to have a different super form like Sonic when Tails and Knuckles are also just the same but with a bright palette?
in the Death Egg chase, how are you triggering that spindash sound while jumping around? what exactly are you doing? please help me. I’m stuck on this part with Amy. I feel like she is just a little bit too slow. I’m so close to beating this.
@@Zack29810 Yes, this chase got harder in Origins than in the original game. So the safest way to defeat Dr. Eggman is to jump in the right side of him. What I mean is, just run until you reach the right side and hit him in his face-side. Then just keep running and repeat this progress. Note that this section goes forever until you beat him, so you can take your time as much as you need to.
The game bugged out and didn’t display a Super Amy text when she got all the chaos emeralds. When she got the Super Emeralds, game bugged yet again and displayed Super Amy instead of Hyper. In-game, Hyper and Super Amy look the same.
@@DanielDX A softlock is not a crash. A softlock is when you can still control the character, but you can no longer progress the game as intended. Apparently, ANY character beating Knuckles up in Super form (Sonic, Tails, Amy) softlock the game and keep the screen stuck at the mural. I've tried. But given this was overkill, ignore the bonus stage at the checkpoint and beating the boss in normal form lets it run as intended.
Okay we’ve been (mainly my kid and wife) have been playing this game for a while on the Switch and have never seen Amy. How do you even get her as an option? We have all the chaos emeralds and Super Sonic and chaos emeralds plus some super emeralds in another save
To play as Amy, you need to get the Sonic Origins Plus Expansion Pack. You can find it in your game store, or in the museum section in Sonic Origins. It costs about $9, and includes not only Amy as a playable character, you also get to play as Knuckles in Sonic CD. In addition, this Expansion Pack comes with 12 more games, in 8-Bit.
1:12:05 why does she have 997 coins if Amy had 999 coins before joining the last special stage? 1:17:46 why does Amy get over 10,000 points if should have just got 800 ? Are these part of the several bugs Sonic origins have ?
I failed twice on the last special stage, so I spent 2 coins for the retrys. I cut that part out, though. As for 1:17:46, I genuinely don't know why I got so much points, maybe because of the new hyper attack from Amy, I got some bonus points, but that's just speculation.
Answering your 2nd question, it's because there's a hidden bonus in the act results called "Cool Bonus" That bonus is obtanied if you don't die/get damaged. Also, this bonus was previously implemented in Sonic Mania, which is evidence that this remaster is made on the same Retro Engine version as Sonic Mania (RSDKv5).
In Sonic Origins Plus, there is the "Classic Mode". There, you can play the classics in 4:3 aspect ratio and with the life system instead of coins. But be aware, that it doesn't play like the original games, it still uses the new engine with the new improvements.
