I picked up my copy today as well. Was disappointed to see that Amy and all the game gear stuff had to be downloaded when it very easily could have been on the cart ready to go. Mania plus didn't do this when Mighty and Ray came with the physical, so I'm not sure why this game makes you download all the extra stuff. Other than that, it's a great collection

It’s so idiotic that you need the code for origins plus considering that for the ps4/5 and Xbox it just reuses the old stock with the code for the dlc but here that doesn’t make any sense since there never was origins on its own to begin with so I really don’t see why there had to be a code

It's literally saying that you need to use the code for the bonus content (plus) - 0:29. The patch came out today officially 2.0.0 so it's via code. Card is 1.5.0 and it's containing the base Origins game. I heard that the Game Gear games are really bad (bad ports/emulation) so I don't care. I care just for Origins.

Question, i take it the code is a one time use? So if your switch screws up (no longer usable), can you somehow get the extras for the new switch you buy? Or is the download extras gone?

If you redeem the code on your account you should be fine if you log in.... on any other switch
