I really appreciate the favors this does for Jet's character. It really sells him as someone born into greatness who's secretly searching for someone to dethrone him, but still values his birthright glory and won't see it tarnished.
I never really looked that deep into it, but that is just s sick way of describing a character. Just plain awesome, and am I the only person who comes back to these songs?
Its odd how this sounds like it should be the original yet it was the second version of this song. The one in sonic riders 1 sounds like a remix of this.
On god it does. I remember being in my teens playing this game and let my little brother play it. Son of a gun beat the whole game by himself 😂 and this theme played at the end. I miss my little bro sometimes 😢
There have been plenty of songs that share a title but have an entirely different feel. It Doesn't Matter, Believe in Myself, and Unknown from M.E. to name a few. This one is probably the best glow up in the series for me.

I think this version of sonic isn’t as fast as modern sonic. For the sake of the plot, not make him fast on his feet. This is about reaching the skies and being free. Reminds me a lot of air gear, just a couple of young kids with big dreams having fun. This is a different sonic. One who is free like a bird
@@LilXancheX There are so many reasons why he would use a hoverboard over his feet in the Riders games, here, i'll give you a list; 1. You can't fly with your feet, you fool 2. It's way easier to avoid things like vehicles, whilst not constantly using up Sonic's energy 3. Even if he could run in the Riders tracks, he wouldn't to actually keep the competition fair, & beat out Jet "his way", so to speak Thanks for coming to me ted-talk, your interpretation is dumb & stupid & just incorrect (something Viljar also mentioned)
@@pokkop6053 to be fair the original is so different that the only similarity is that they they reused most of the lyrics for this remix. The lyrics are performed very differently, if that gives you an idea of how different they are.
Whole song is about Jet talking about how he is the true wind master unlike Sonic and doesn't care about world domination, he just wants to be number 1.
