This brings back so many memories... I used to play this with my sister and cousin all the time. We'd have sleepovers and stay up till 12:00am (Considerably late for a bunch of elementary school kids) just trying to unlock new boards. I'd always come in last when playing with them but I still had fun
This was the kind of game that NEEDED online multiplayer... If they didn't waste their time making a ps2 port, they probably would've made one! It would've also made grinding for rings much more tolerable. It would also distinguish this from Mario Kart Wii as that game came out 3 months after this and completely cast this game in it's shadow. Who wouldn't wanna play as Billy Hatcher, Nights, and Amigo online?!
The Opponent AI seemed really brutal in this game. They didn't screw around, either you used whatever you could to boost or you ended up losing 1st place.
Exactly, I recently tried unlocking scr hd and one of the cpu character hada the angel/devil extreme gear equiped, either I used all the shortcuts available or it would catch up to me easily
