As much as I love SSNTails and how I like Tailsguy it's kinda sad to see that he has barely any variations (not even a "modern" version where he could do tail swings like in Adventure or Advance)

SKG in SRB2, I tried testing it in game, but it crashed and I will just have to redo it, it was a legacy mod and I put the normal srb2 pallete and it looked like u, I’ll try to just make one from scratch, on Scratch

What is skg?

You can pass all the game without saving progress and fight metal sonic with that mod that you want (because you can't save data and play with modded characters in the original game) or you can use a mod call custom save data, with that mod you can save progress with the modded character you want, but you have to put first the mod you want to play and then run custom save data
