See this is what happened to the rejected design of the original Sonic. I hope you all can live with yourself knowing an innocent human-hedgehog hybrid died in a cage just because you thought it was “ugly.” He just wanted to go fast. Should’ve let him.

The music was done perfectly. The up-beat build up during his creation and training was appropriate by tone. Then the use of softer instruments after the reveal of his rejection was really upsetting. Not trying to be funny but seeing that door slowly close over that music tugged something.

I have rarely ever seen someone who can depict such a unique and provocative picture through a personal emotional perspective yet at the same time brilliantly covered by an atmosphere of comical humor. I typically think feeling feely people tend to repress their thinking and judgment to give in their emotions but you have shown me the other way around: How an emotional perspective in an seemingly inapplicable context can give you such profound insight.

This short was probably better than the whole sonic movie itself

I like your use of emotion and character portrayal. Truly an emotionally upsetting video, as if to humor the idea that a fictional redesign would need to live with it's own disownment and irrelevance. The final moments of it's caged life, a harsh illusion it had to live to even accept reality itself. The beauty of human sonic was that he was.

This video almost brought me to tears because I have felt his pain. When I was in the mental hospital if you did anything against the rules they would throw you in a locked room barely big enough to lie down in. Nothing in there but a camera facing you. Sometimes I still lie awake at night...thinking about how cold and empty I felt lying on the floor of that padded wall prison, silent tears running down my face. I wholeheartedly believed I was going to die in there. What I wouldn’t give to see the sunset-feel the ocean breeze against my skin one more time. Me and you are cut from the same cloth, Sonic. For I too, am one of gods rejected designs and can no longer be recognized as fully human.

This is unironically one of my favorite videos on the internet. It resonates with something deep in my soul. Feeling rejected and trapped in an empty existence. Sometimes just want to run away somewhere far where you can be at peace.

I just realized how full and round Sonic looked when he was doing the scene for the movie and how starved and weak he looked when the were closing the door on him....

I know that this has been made to laugh but... the music, the smile at the end almost made me cry. This was beautiful.

When people called him a monster, Jim Carry called him beautiful. He tried to defend him but the masses were to strong. Jim hug him, as he started to tear up, "When someone touches you in a place that you don't like. That's no good. It's your body, you shouldn't let anyone touch you if you don't want them to. So what do you? First you say no. Then you get out of there."

It is with... equal parts elation and horror... That I confirm the ending here is no longer canon. He's got a better ending. He's the best part in Chip 'n Dale. He ran faster than darkness, and found his light back again.

That last smile said it all, behind that smile there was huge pain.
