Sounds like it's going to be similar to the Advance games in some way, but with a modern artstyle. I'm interested, Frontiers was an above average game so I do hope this game shines and doesn't reuse every single marketable zone in existance. Also, I hope they revamp the physics again. Since Classic Sonic in Generations and Forces controlled awfully.
Great that Sega and Nintendo make me feel satisfied. In fact, I glad that we getting this Sonic game, two classic Pikmin games and two Mario games in row. Go Sega and Nintendo!
Well if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em. Everything old is new again. I’m happy that Sonic and Mario both get new art direction and new classic 2D side scrolling games this fall.
The resolution looks like 720p if this is docked gameplay (may not be final) but hey we got 60 frames per seconds gameplay (with some dips in performances)! For example at 0:11 3 out of 4 frames are being drawn (so 45 frames per seconds) but it looks so consistent it may be a video issue or some kind of buffer thing like Zelda TotK uses? Anyways can't wait to have my hands on it!😄
With that little screen 720p is good enough. Most small TV sets (32 inch) are 720p anyways. Docked is 1080p, 60fps so that's fine. My Samsung 4K is great with upscaling anyways.
@@misterlexx2721 Here is the catch, I have a feeling 720p is the docked mode, meaning handheld will be even lower. I would be happy with 720p handheld!
That was awesome and it reminds of four things like Kirby, Rayman Origins, NSMB, and Classic Sonic titles since 1991 to 1997 and what can I say is let's freaking go faster than the fast lane!!!!!
I’m playing this but not on Switch. I love a good Sonic every once in a while and this looks like it’ll be better than the last Sonic game I actually cared about, Sonic Mania
So this makes 4 of Sonic’s best games on the switch. Sonic Origins Plus, Sonic Mania Plus, Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Superstars. Technically 5 if you count TSR.
Yeah, flashback to the worst marketing campaign that everyone has moved on and not give a crap about whereas everyone is just existed to play both games individually. Don't remind them.
Disappointed when they said Jun Senoue was going to be composing the soundtrack, but then I heard Tee Lopes was also involved and my disappointment just went completely away. The song shown here is FANTASTIC
