Little late, but reporting! We were smack dab in the middle. I unfortunately didn't have any Sonic swag on me at the time, but a nice girl was selling these home made Sonic laminated hwads that looked lile the terrible Popsicles, so I had one of those. Best unintentional fan ever! (The popsicle, not the girl)
Man, my eyes are welling up listening to alot of these songs, and the frigging excitement, the fandom is really something else, so passionate about so many great games, with all those amazing songs

...Now that I think about it, wonder if the orchestra has ever played a concert with a bunch of people clapping, cheering, waving lights, etc.... most classical concerts are subdued affairs, aren't they? Makes their playing even more impressive!
Video games live and other orchestras like that have been touring for years so they likely have had experience with cheering and such before. Maybe not the rock concert level see here but video games live gets pretty wild for some of the songs if they ever had that there. One time at one of the video games live symphonies I have been to they threw giant inflatable beach balls painted to look like pokeballs into the audience during the pokemon theme and the orchestra had to deal with those flying around and keep playing lol.
