Apparently it all started with an idea of having Sonic and Tails as playable characters in Fighting Vipers, but the progammer wasn't sure of asking Naka about it. Then Yu Suzuki decided to take that concept and make a fighting game all about Sonic, asked Naka about it and he said yes. With Suzuki as the producer. WILD.
Vectorman is a 2D action platformer video game developed by BlueSky Software and published by Sega. The game was released for the Sega Genesis in late 1995 in North America and Europe. A sequel, Vectorman 2, was released in 1996, but despite several abandoned attempts at making an Vectorman 3, no further games have been released.
I mean when has a fighting game had an interesting single player lmao (if anything fighters mostly had the opposite problem, 90% of the sp is piss easy) You always gotta grab your friends, study up the moves, and do some wacky bullshit, it's fun
Compared to other fighting games releasing around the same time, Fighters is pretty fair and easy. Metal Sonic is about the only one that has some real bullshit, and even then, most of his stronger attacks have a lot of startup.
I love Sonic the Fighters! Sonic the Fighters (aka Sonic Championship) is so much better than Sonic Battle because Sonic Battle plays nothling like an arcade-styled fighting game. And speaking of Sonic Battle, that game needs a remake and the remade version of Sonic Battle needs the Sonic the Fighters/Sonic Championship treatment. In other words, Sonic Battle on the GBA back in the days was all gimmick and less skill and Sonic Battle was a combination of Power Stone and Super Smash Bros. in the of world Sonic the Hedgehog.
