Here are the origins of all of the zones in the PS3 version of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I & Metal & II. Footage for all these games was recorded on a Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3 & 4. All footage was recorded at 1080p & 60fps.

Sonic 4: Episode Lazy Atleast Episode II zones looks more like a mashup of multiple zones rather then just exact copy (well except for Sky Fortress zone)

Missing Zones: 1: Sylvania Castle Zone (Sonic 4: Episode 2) Origins: It is a mixture of Aquatic Ruin Zone (from Sonic 2), and Marble Garden Zone (from Sonic 3) 2: White Park Zone (Sonic 4: Episode 2) Origins: It is a mixture of Carnival Night Zone and Ice Cap Zone (from Sonic 3), and Stardust Speedway (from Sonic CD) 3: Oil Desert Zone (Sonic 4: Episode 2) Origins: It is a mixture of Oil Ocean Zone (from Sonic 2), and Sandopolis Zone (from Sonic & Knuckles)

If you're thinking about Angel Island and Emerald Hill, both of those are inspired by Green Hill. Green Hill is the prime inspiration, so that's probably why he put it up there.

White Park is the only original zone of Sonic 4, Oil Desert and Sylvania Castle are just inspired in classic zones but also with some extra elements what makes them more unique.

No it's not, Mad Gear is it's own Zone, and it's located on a separate island. The Death Egg blew up in Sonic 2. He then remade it on Angel Island's Launch Base Zone. There's been multiple Death Eggs.

Im like if Sonic 4 have them original story. Rather than sonic 4 be a Copypasta story. I know they make reference from sonic 1 and sonic 2 for nostalgic. But the reference is too over☠️ Sonic 4 reference too over part 2: They make reference from Sonic CD And Sonic 3 And Knucles they make the old zone back in sonic 4 but its too over like before. Its too much. But this game is gonna be good if you guys a sonic fans from 1991. Cuz they make them childhood zone back.

See, when Sonic Mania did this sorta thing they weren’t cowards and actually made it the name of the original stage. This isn’t homage, this is creating cheap imitations.
